Whew, all three shows are up (Friday night's show, Saturday's in-store and the full show that night).

Some good news and some bad news. My upgraded mics did not arrive in time for this weekend shows, knowing my luck they will show up in the mail tomorrow. This was my first show using a mic stand, it turned out well and I was able to enjoy the show more, since I didn't have to pay attention the mics on my hat. However, my recorder crapped out during All I Hear, luckily my Spidey sense kicked in and I wandered back to my stand about half way through the next song, Crying Time, and turned it back on. In ~9 years of taping this was the only time my recorder has ever messed up on me. Luckily, there was another taper there last night. His recording (with MUCH nicer gear) should be up soon. I'll post links once he ups it.

Enjoy,
Brian

I second this. It's great to have so many HQ recordings available. Thanks Brian!

How did you get access to soundcheck?

The TGF presale tickets/laminates allow access to sound check. We weren't able to make to the venue on Friday in time for soundcheck, but ran into a couple folks that did go on Friday night. They said they played about 4 songs, all but one were covers, and Kevin only sang one song, the rest of the band did vocals for the other songs.

We got to the venue about 5:45p and just walked right in, the techs were setting up gear. I asked Carlos, their sound guy, if I could set up my stand inside teh sound board cage, he was cool with it, but just wanted it out of his way. (The other taper asked for a SBD patch, but was turned down) Chad T came out about 6p and played around for a few minutes before Pat and Sean showed up. Chad G showed a few minutes later. As you'll hear on the recording, the guys asked Bill to go get Kevin out of the bus so they could sound check.

So long story short, the presale tix/laminates should get you in to sound check. Oh and Kevin mentioned to be sure to hang on to the laminates, because "the laminates will get you more cool stuff next year."

Brian

Brian, this sounds really nice!!! Its better than Denver, for sure. For LCB's, good job. Would have been amazing to hear this with better mics with how good it already is. Where did the other taper setup?

I was about 2' off the front right corner of the SBD, he ran two sets of mics, one is mounted to the ceiling, the other was about 6' off the back corner on a 10' stand, I'm not sure which recording he will pick to share. His gear: AKG C 480 B comb/ CK61-ULS > Tascam DR-680.

I am interested to hear people's opinions between the 2 recordings. Is there a 10X difference? My rig costs ~$200 and his costs about $3000.

Didn't really think we had to keep asking this for every show posted, but...can anyone upload both of these recordings to mediafire please? It would be most appreciated by the rest of us.

And just for the record, I have posted shows as well, so don't look at me like I'm some worthless leecher wanting something for nothing. Yes, it was only 2 shows that some didn't have because of how much is available in LiveLand, but I'd gladly post more if I had other rarities to share.

I'll try to upload FLACs of these shows to Mediafire this weekend.

Is there a reason why you can't download these shows via bitTorrent? Brian has also uploaded these shows at the TheTradersDen.org torrent site where anybody can sign up.
