ah guys maybe we can all buy a different show each and uh ... you know uhoh.gif

Of course - why would I buy the same show as you? I'm personally eyeing the San Diego show since I've been to that House of Blues before.

Before I consider that though - does anyone know the shipping cost on these things?

I checked, it's $5.

I wonder why they don't offer this through there site as a download like Ed did. They could have an album / download option.

Awesome! I remember Collective Soul did this a few years back. It was so cool to get in your car and pop in a cd of the show you were just at. Can't wait to get a TGF one or two!

Well when 2 others said they were getting the same show I thought maybe we could kind of co-ordinate something here..

I wonder if the band is still cool w/ open audience recording ... Hope so. Imagine a good shot video mixed w/ this audio!!!

Great idea, the band does allow open taping (audio and video).

I am holding off on ordering until after the shows to order, to hear which shows are better. I'm also interested if the CDs will be burned from MP3s or from WAVs.

Just to make something clear, links to these professional recordings will not be permitted on Fansoflive.com

TGF have a great recording policy and I'm not going to jeopardise that by allowing the sharing or trading of these "Abbey Road" CDs.

to think that these people who "love" the band would try and save $15 by coordinating something....pretty sad. I realize at the show I went to (Columbus) that Kevin Martin basically OKed making a copy of the album for friends, but come on. If you want them, buy them. I honestly don't see why you'd need more than a show or two....don't they more or less play the same setlist every show?

I don't think you understood the concept, people were all going to buy our own copies and then possibly swap the ones that we didn't buy. I got no problem paying $20 + postage for my copy, I don't however have $160 or whatever it is for all the copies, hence the dealings. It's exactly the same as what you just OK'd with KM.

And you don't think they would end up in the hands of people who haven't bought a copy at all? I'm not trying to police the thing, but I still don't think it should be organized on a fan message board.

It's like going to the Live section and saying "hey I bought TC but I don't have money for TDTH or SS so let's organize, everyone buy one album, and then I get 3X the music for 1/3 the cost."

Yeah Im definitely in for one show, but Im not buying them all. Pearl Jam encourages fans to trade their professionally released "bootlegs", but frowns upon public torrents or links. In 2000 & 2003, I collected the entire PJ tour this way, it was quite fun.

Im pretty sure the people who want to collect the entire tour via trade are not people trying to rip off the band. These are people that have gone to 2 or more shows on this tour, bought the album (some multiple copies) and will continue to support the band as much as they possibly can. Whats the worst that can happen if it gets in someones hand whos not familiar w/ the band? They want to go see the band live? Thats where they make their money, its a win-win.

It's not being organised here anymore, and no links are going to be posted here. settle down son.
