I was also talking about the majority of people here. If you weren't one of them, there really is no need for you to come in here adding your two cents that really are pointless as a result.

Out To Dry refuses comment............. The Fucking Project rocked from the very inception. Glad everyone has their own opinion of it, because it means whatever it means to that person.

There was almost no arguments on this board about Chad Taylor being able to put up as far as his musicianship goes or his taste in music.

liverocks has never needed a good reason to be a shit-stirring jackass. He aint dumb, he knew this would antagonise the hardcore fanbase and he probably got bored with all the good vibes around here. All i can say is why should i believe what someone says about their music before i hear it (not saying i really cared all that much at the time), considering i dont know the guy? Why should i have 100% faith in anybody? Isnt that a bit silly? I think if we all "knew" the album would be spectacular it would have come out and not really blown us away, the lower the expectation, the greater the impression!

Well, to avoid confusion, I think it was more that people were sick of waiting without hearing anything to proof it, then that they didnt believe in Chad Taylor and the guys. For example myself: I think I never posted anything that said that Chad Taylor was telling us bullshit and that he was going to dissapoint us. But after months of exciting messages of Chad, i was 'oke... now, let's hear some music' heynow.gif .

Apart from that, I think it's normal for other people to have doubt about IF THEY'D LIKE THE MUSIC. That's completely different from the question if THEY BELIEVE IN IT. I mean, Chad Taylor could have been excited because it was so f*cking good (and it turns out it was), but doesnt necesserally mean that people LIKE it. I mean, I still think it turns out it was not everybody's taste over here. But that's oke, right? F*cking amazing over the top greatness doesnt mean you will be sure that you will like it, right? So that may explain some of people's doubts as well.

I fail to see the relevance or necessity of the original post and have no interest in flinging crap but I think the topic has turned into a fascinating discussion.

Trust has nothing to do with any of this. Of course CT is going to suggest that his music is going to be compelling. Do artists ever release anything but suggest that they are not proud of their accomplishments before the release? Of course not. It is their job to promote themselves! Art of any kind is subjective. There is nothing factual about it regardless of the artist's track record of success. Example - See Chris Cornell's "Scream". ugh - what a piece of shit IMO and his track record for amazing music is solid. It is in our individual hands to determine whether the music speaks to each of us. I happen to think TGF rocks but that's just my opinion. So, there is no right, wrong or "I told you so" that applies here.

I don't get the "bandwagon" comparison between sports and music. People discover music as it comes to them and it may speak to them at different times and for different reasons. Sports is all about wins and losses and it is a fact that as a team piles up wins, the fan support swells and stadiums fill. A fan may like the Buffalo Bills this year but it is a fact that they SUCK. With music obviously more exposure (radio, etc...) will help a band gain fans/sales but it's not the same thing.

As far as KM goes, of course there were going to be skeptics. Their favorite singer was just essentially replaced with someone who was unknown to many and had a style vastly different from Ed. Kevin is tops as a singer and performer but people had to discover that for themselves by experiencing him. You can't just be told. And, there are still those that are going to prefer Ed and that's okay.

My piece...

I simply wonder whom Luke is speaking about... I sincerely do not remember any negativity towards CCP on the board except for from Nick's side and a couple of stupid board passengers who had around 10 pists aboard and fail to come around once more....

And I completely misunderstand why someone has to get to knives with Aitkens, who was the FIRST fan at the FIRST show hours before the start.

Do I give a fuck how much you promote it buddy??? No I couldn't care less. If you think that makes you a bigger fan, then good for fucking you!!

You need to see my facebook page to see if you're a bigger fan??? REALLY? You sound like you're about 7 years old with that statement.

As for promotion?? I brought 8 people to their show here. Bought three merch items, bought the album off Itunes first day. Bought 6 copies of the actual cd to give to other people....I think that's more than enough to show my support for this band. I don't need to do anything to prove to you or any other douche bag proclaiming to be the biggest fan on earth.

To be honest, you're sounding a bigger douche fanboy than Nick is for Ed right now.

bashing one of TGF top fans in AITKENS really makes you a dick in my eyes....chill the fuk out tough guy or come hang with Aitkens, his crew, Out to Dry and us TRUE fans and we will have fun in the MOSHPIT... angry.gif

Wow, you really scare me old man!!!!

Calling me tough guy, then telling me to come hang out with you at a show?? So you can do what? Run?? Because that's exactly what you'd do you old sack fo shit. Fuck off and give a relevant post to the discussion, or once again, go take a flying fuck off a short cliff. Because you can bank on the fact that if we ever did meet, and I did say the exact things I did here, there's not a fucking thing you could do about it, period. So stop acting like you'd be able to do something about it...because you'd run like a little fucking girl. Asshole.

Actually you spent all summer telling us how you had listened to the cd and how it was going to blow us away. You were right, congrats. Good for you, good FOR you.

LOL, STFU. I mentioned it maybe two or three times. A far cry from "all summer" Go find me more than 3 posts where I mentioned it buddy. Til then, quit trying to justify yourself like the moron you are who can't admit he's wrong. Admitting you're wrong is really hard when you're not really a man isn't it buddy? What an utter joke you are.

Good post man, I can understand that I guess. Better than the idiots coming around challenging as to who is the bigger TGF fan as a result of the content of ones Facebook page!! Jesus.
