I'd like them see Honest Man rereleased to radio again. It didnt get any play due to no record and no tour at the time it was put out. I think it would kill a second time around.

HM was too heavy for the masses, while Appetite is classic. I think it simply is more public-friendly.

Not really, not one single clear channel station is playing the song. The song is number 36 on the rock chart, but only 18 of 70 some odd stations are playing it.

It's too bad because this record would sell huge if word of it could just get out there. If you're not paying clear channel, you're shit out of luck.

CLear Channel is much to blame for the music industry woes, they really are.

Yeah, Jeff from a station in Dallas emailed me back and said it's a crime, but his bosses won't let him add it. The guys came by, gave a performance and everything. He said all the dj's think the album is fucking amazing, but that the guys in control are saying a flat no. He quoted at the end of his email saying "no pay no play"

Such a shame that if money were being thrown to clear channel at this, the record would be taking off like crazy everywhere. Capitol or Emi or whoever the fuck needs to dish out some coin to get this album on the air.

This album really could make a lot of money for everyone if it got a much harder push. It really is a crying fucking shame.

EMI only distributes the record, but CT said the they have been calling stations too, in order to play.
Clear Channel is an abortion of a company, only there for the cash, they own way too much in the media industry and this is why things have gone into the shitter the past 15 years.

Help me out. If EMI distributes, who "needs" to pay Clear Channel and others?

My understanding is EMI distributes physical CDs to stores throughout the USA.

Clear Channel are a group of radio stations.

They're mutually exclusive.

It's not hard to get a CD stocked in a CD store or a chain of Walmarts, but getting your song on the radio is entirely different.

And this is exactly why such shit as Nickleback and Ke$ha are played daily on our radio stations. Freaking pathetic.

I saw a commercial for the American Music Awards earlier and I couldnt help but laugh at the lineup. We live in sad times.... back in the 90s, I never dreamed it would get this bad.

Fucking ridiculous isn't it??? That this shit sells millions and people turn out in droves to their shows....but a real rock band like this gets ignored because their shit isn't being paid for play??

This album by right should easily sell a million or two and get the recognition it deserves.

Perhaps in time, it will as people discover it. It's certainly better than 99% of what is released today in the rock format.
