I just wondered are there any other HIM fans here on this bord ?
I like their music, just got into them recently. I think their latest album "Dark Light" is the weakest with it's lyrics being too poppy and not nearly as stong as the old ones. As an exampel "Wings of a Butterfly" is not lyricly at their level at all.
My favorite album is either "Greatest Lovesongs vol 666" or "Love Metal". I think "Love Metal" has the strongest lyrics and the album can be heard as pieces or as one long music experience. I think "Sweet Pandemonium" sort of stands out and has that extra something that makes a both beautiful and great rocksong.
So what do you think?

I've loved this band for years and years. I do prefer the earlier stuff, with Razorblade Romance probably being my favourite. The newest album, Dark Light, is quite poppy for them - I thought I was never going to get into the album but I really like it now.

I love them laugh.gif ...Razorblade Romance is my favourite album.

I just wish they'd come to Holland again sad.gif or maybe I should go to Finland <3

I know them and like...
about "wings of ..." I think it is some kind of "fight" between them and The Rasmus who change its "sign" from crows to butterflies

Seems pretty good natured between them, though. Ville and Lauri did the duet with Apocalyptica after the so called feud was in the music press... nobody's punched anybody yet.

Agree... The mix of goth, love and rock is fantastic... And Ville Valo is nice too... wink.gif

I think Ville and Lauri are friends, though sometimes it seems that Ville dislikes The Rasmus...

but they did a tour together (and also with Negative <3) in Germany this february (I was there bounce.gif )
