I'll do that today as well.

I emailed Newbury last night asking for a refund and am apparently getting it but will believe it when I see it:

Hello,

Thank you for the email. Your order was shipped on September 9th. As it has been over one month since your item was shipped it is now considered lost in the mail. I have therefore refunded you for the total amount of your order, including shipping. This refund should appear on your account in the next 24-48 hours.

Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions or concerns, and thank you for shopping with newburycomics.com!

Best regards,

Sounds like a good way of saying "We'd hope you wouldn't notice but we never sent the fucking thing. You got us - here's your money back"

Thanks for the heads up. I emailed the bastards as well requesting a refund. Don't know if I'll get it but 6 weeks to deliver a cd to anywhere in the world is friggin ridiculous. I reckon The Gracious Few will be touring Australia before I get the fuckin CD.

Part 2........

Got this email from Newbury this morning:

Hello,

Thank you for the email. Your order was shipped on NOV 21st. As it has been over one month since your item was shipped it is now considered lost in the mail. I have therefore refunded you for the total amount of your order, including shipping. This refund should appear on your account in the next 24-48 hours.

Looks like I'm getting a refund for something they are shipping to me next month because it has been over a month since it was shipped?

my email was identical, except for the bit when they didnt say im getting a refund. Instead, they are shipping me another copy. lol

So another copy is getting lost at sea, at least some day a child in the year 2634 will find a copy of the cd washed up ashore and get a taste of some old school rock n roll. Newburry is doing this for the kids.

My CD arrived! It was routed through New Zealand.

I'm still going to send them an email to voice my dissatisfaction with the speed of delivery...

Nice work! I'm just jealous now. Did it come autographed? Did it have all of the band's autographs?

Is there a postmark on it that says when it was actually sent?

There's a customs form attached that was filled out by Newbury Comics that was filled out on the 14th of September. No postmark on it though.

Yeah, the package included a sealed copy of the album plus a signed copy of the booklet with everybody's autograph signed with a silver marker.

yeh i got mine just now. I was pulling out of my driveway to go by some nice big steaks from my local butcher and i see this old postie trying to cram this big yellow package into my mail slot. I had a gut instinct as to what it was, so i jumped out and took it off him. I wrote to newbury telling them that if they have already sent me out my replacement copy that i will send it back to them. But i wont.

Mine arrived today as well. The refund also showed up today on my card. I'm not telling them though.....I bet they'll get it back thru DHL anyway. Talk about an F up. Well, it cost me a $1.00 cause of the exchange rate since I paid for it back in early Sept.

alright well im sorry for you all that didnt get your cds quickly - unfortunately for me i'm an idiot and went to a website to order TGF and went "Newbury Comics; so glad this isnt the one mentioned on fansol" cue me ordering two copies.

Logging in here to tell you to go to my site newburycomics instead of the gay one that takes four years to put a cd in a box and send it out and I find it indeed was the same site I ordered my DISCS OFF OF!!! FRICK!!!

anyway; I ordered two copies and will let you know if they arrive as soon as they arrive...if that makes sense.
