Fishy, your pics are GOLDEN

Thanks. The lighting was so-so and there was no photo pit in the front, so I wasn't able to move around and get proper shots of all of the band or use the lighting from different positions. Also, I was shooting over (and through) peoples heads much of the time. I would have liked to have gotten some better shots, but all in all, these weren't bad.

Fosterchild performance was great that night. The whole band sounded great and Danny's (Fosterchild's frontman) vocals sounded amazing.
I wish they played a longer set.

Fosterchild was amazing. After their set, I said that they are a tough act to follow. They should be huge. They are super talented and their music is really great. That lead singer has a great voice!

I can't stop thinking about this concert. It was SO GREAT!

I've been thinking that the lyrics of these songs really lend themselves to a great concert experience. The heavy songs are so powerful and the lyrics get screamed in your face by Kevin, and you can't help but scream them back. And the solfter songs like What's Wrong and Silly Thing and Crying Time are so powerful and moving that you just have to get moved to sing along. Add t that Gracey's drums, Chad going nuts, Seans miraculous guitaring and Pat grooving out with prominent bass lines and you have an unbelieveable concert experience.

There are some pictures of this show posted at thegraciousfans.com here:

Very nice photos, Fish. I am partial to the black and white photos. I always feel that BW photos seem more like works of art and that the detail is crisper. Very good work.....

Why thank you.

Maybe I'll do some more B & W conversions and post some more.

I am thinking about putting up a website with number of galleries of photos from all of the live shows and Ed shows and TGF shows that I have shot. It will take some time to put everything together, but I think I have anough to put together a nice tribute website of photos.

I'll be one of the first to visit. Photography is one of my main hobbies and I always enjoy seeing other's photos. Like most posting on this site, photos of TGF, Ed and Live would be a big plus.

In my opinion, Sing is much more powerful and emotional than any of the songs you mentioned, except maybe Crying Time. Sing is not only a great song, but it tells a great story. Mix in the great guitar work and the anthemic build up to the song, and this song is so much more powerful than any other song on the album in my opinion.

But I do agree that I was flabbergasted at this bands on stage aura and performance. Unbelieveable is way too weak a word to explain it. I loved Live in concert, I really did. But the show I saw was literally a thousand times better than any of the 11 Live shows I ever saw.

Cool. What do you shoot with? Canon? Nikon? Lenses? Do you shoot concerts?

I love shooting concerts more than just about anything (other than my family). With the movement of the performers, the fluctuating light, the low lighting conditions, etc., it is such a challenge to get a good, sharp, well exposed, and nicely composed shot. But when you do, the emotion of the artist in the middle of a performance, the dramatic lighting and the expression of the moment give you the best in photography. If you really care about the band - it makes the photos even more special. And when you shoot a favorite band on numerous occasions, you pick up on the subdlties of their style and performance and you can anticipate what's going to happen and get in synch with it to get better shots.

I have added another batch of photos from the TLA show onto Flickr. I am just going to direct you to Flickr rather than trying to paste links to the photos into a thread. The new photos are in the Set called TGF at The TLA (Batch 2):
