The show last night was insane!!! I am someone who goes to a lot of shows. I've seen the Hiwatts a few times and Candlebox more times than I can even count, but this........BY FAR............was the best show I have ever seen. The energy onstage, the interaction of the guys. They LOVED every second of being up there and it showed 1000% Sean and Chad were so adorable the way they played off one another. The drums and bass were incredible and of course Kevin's vocals were about the best I've ever heard. He seems to get better every time I see him!!! And if you think you like/love the record, wait until you hear these songs live.

You are going to want to throw you Fat Daddy's boot away. That was their first show and while it was great, I was there, I LOVED it, they are a zillion times better now after having warmed up a few shows.

These guys need to get the push they deserve! For those of you who haven't been yet, I'm sure you are all excited and can't wait, but you don't even realize the punch in the face you are going to get!!

Someone please fill me in here..................what's the plexiglass talk all about?

Since mid 1999, Chad Gracey had a glass (plexiglass) cage surrounding him (front and sides) when playing live. I don't have a picture handy but I did find this reference:

Question: Why have you started using those plexiglass "walls" in front of your kit for the touring of TDTH? Are they for soundproofing, for miking purposes, or for Raylo's sound, so his keys are more clearly audible? I'm rather curious, because I've found that all your subtle drum licks are harder to hear now, even though you're miked. I really find it hard when you're using the Hot Rods on songs like Face and Ghost, Lightning Crashes and Pillar of Davidson, if I'm not mistaken. smile.gif Bob Givnin, WA

Chad Gracey: Ahh, the Plexiglass wall question. I have started using this because we needed to greatly reduce the amount of sound on stage. I obviously cannot change my volumes so I needed to be reduced somehow. This is the answer. It all greatly effects the amount of control our front of house mixer has over his mix. As far as the Hot Rod question, I will have to talk to the mixer and let him know.

The crowds I've seen on youtube have been pretty good, and the thing they have in common is that they are all energetic and into the show. It is awesome to see!

Nice size crowd there last night! That interview, plus the $10 ticket offer is really starting to work for them! They said it was the biggest crowd yet. They are starting to gain momentum and there's no stopping them now!!!!

Enjoy!!!!!!!

That concert last night was insane. The best I've seen in a long time. Waiting until the 30th to see them again at the Chameleon is going to be tough.. guitar.gif guitar.gif guitar.gif guitar.gif guitar.gif

Wow looks like a phenomenal show. I really want to catch them on this tour, but it looks like I'll have to wait. Getting harder and harder to resign myself to waiting though!
