Anyone know how attendance has been for the other shows? All I've heard about is the Toronto show, which I would imagine is on the low end.

It's only the beginning. No one really even knows who they are yet. The more radio interviews they do and get their name out there the better. They seem to be doing a great job getting themselves booked at the local stations at every tour stop.

The problem I'm seeing, and this isn't even a new problem, is that radio stations book bands like TGF for interviews, go gaga over them for the 10-20 minutes they're on the air, and then never play the friggin music again.

Near as I can determine, WRXP in NY doesn't play TGF at all, and they were the ones who hosted the show at Webster Hall that I saw. Even though I'm not really fan of anything Octane (Sirius XM) plays beyond TGF, they're the one place that has actually bothered to get the songs some airtime, at least that I've been lucky enough to hear.

Radio stations suck. ClearChannel radio stations suck harder.

Man - I said this stuff about a week ago. We can make all the calls and requests you want but ultimately it's up to TGF to get this album out there.

They put the time in money into making it and I'm sure they didn't do it to lose money.

Now they have to put the time and effort into getting themselves out there and getting their music played.

I think it really all depends on them pulling some strings, using some past celebrity with stations, and really pushing for it more than anything else.

This is so true. I remember when they were here in the York area on 105.7, did an interview and an amazing acoustic performance of Appetite. Never heard them played on that station after that. And this is their hometown station. It's all bullshit. I think it's impossible for an Indie band to get airplay. Maybe they can make a go of it the way other Indie bands do, by word of mouth, but that could take years! I just hope they keep making music and somehow get more people to hear them. The world is truly missing out!

This is exactly right.

I have gotten some indie bands in regular rotations on radio stations. It takes forever, but it is possible. It is even more possible if you were once in a popular band.
