It was really, really loud in there too.

The sond half of All I hear was most wicked as well, let me tell you. They ended off with Sing, which again, the album does no justice to. What an amazing performance of that song. Can't believe the guitar work by Sean at the nd. I'm at a loss for words to explain how utterly perfect it was.

Yeah, that was a damn good show.

The highlight for me was a complete surprise and that was guilty Fever. I'm not a fan of that song on the cd at all. But that version of the song was completely mind blowing and tight. I was really quite shocked afterwards at how much those riffs pound you to the floor in concert.

Janine, was very nice to meet you. Funny watching you blurt out to Kevin, asking him if he was that iamurme guy. On that subject, he did say that TGF will not be playing any Live, nor any Candleboc songs throughout the tour period. He said he needed to respect identity of his new band and said they realized it wasn't right to do it anymore. Said that he didn't want to ire any fans who didn't think it was a good idea either. He is a very down to earth guy and fits in perfectly personality wise with the rest. He's straight up, gracious and very very friendly. Was glad to be able to buy all the guys a drink finally, except Pat who like me, doesn't drink.

KM also said he's just tired of all the shit slinging going on, including that against Ed. He siad it's getting cheesy and old and that he just wants to make music with these guys and not have to worry about all the trivial bullshit. I agree with him. He seemed to emphasize that he wasn't too happy with all the Ed bashing going on neither and that everybody should just let it go. I must say that I was impressed with his personality big time and couldn't imagine meeting a nicer and friendlier guy.

Also, KM's voice in this show was fucking unbelieveable. At one point during the show, he sounded so powerful, I thought he was lyp synching. He sounded that good. The power that man still has left in his voice is utterly phenominal and mind blowing.

On a side note, the security after the show were pretty ignorant towards Chad. Asked people to clear the way and Chad simply asked the guy nicely to be nicer about it. The guy then got pretty rude and told Chad to get out of the way and CT pretty much told him to fuck off. He made some petty comment about not having a lot of people at the show. Funnily enough, at that point, there was a LIVE song(I Alone) playing inside. I asked the guy if he knew who that was and he said "yeah, it's LIVE" So I then told him that the guy he was fighting with was the lead guitarist of that band and he looked kind of shocked. Told him this was just a new band they were starting and that his comments were rude and disrespectful. Could tell he felt a little bad as all he could say was that Chad was disrespecting him first. Told him that in his job he should be used to that at which point he just shrugged his shoulders. Funny too because at this point, one of his buddies starts shooting his mouth off to the crowd outside big time and told me to back up. When I asked him if he thought he was a tough guy, he wouldn't even look back at me the dumb fucking cunt.

Hope it doesn't discourage these guys from coming back here again. It was a great show. They played a blues version of honest man and a few other songs and KM said there would be a B-side release sometime next year I think.

Great meeting Ike as well. A very nice guy who looked like he was having a great time!

Thanks for the review, sounds utterly fantastic!

I agree about the mudslinging at Ed, it's too easy, really. But we kinda stopped that right? Not posting in the Ed boards and Ned staying the fuck out of the TGF board. smile.gif

Not sure if it was the same guy but the security guy that was at the front door rudely demanded our ID's (no problem there) except the stupid fuck couldn't find my birth date on the license (it's the new ones where its in the hologram) I didn't tell him till he started saying it's fake. What kind of security guy is not familiar with Government issued ids. Anyways, again still pumped from the show. Just kept reliving it in my mind at work all day as did my buddy who was also there. Yup Kevin is a real cool dude, we even got laughing with him about being blind as a bat without his goggles.

Hello LIVE/TGF/Candlebox fans!

I was at last night's show in Toronto...I must say it was FANTASTIC!!!!! There were only about 40 people (max) that were there to see the show. I've been to many, many concerts, and I must say, this concert was one of those hidden gems in the city that not many people know about.

I met janine5683 at the concert, and she recommended me to join this forum and post my videos here. I'm a long time LIVE fan, and first time poster...

I have the majority of the concert recorded, with exception to a few songs (I took photos and wanted to give my arms a break)...Despite some songs omitted, I hope you enjoy the concert as much as I did. It was a very LOUD concert, and the recording picked up the majority of the sound..However, during a couple songs Kevin's voice sounds somewhat quiet due to the overdriving guitars and bass. I assure you all that Kevin sings beautifully.

I loved talking with the band after the show. I got photos from all of them, and I loved listening to Chad Taylor talk about this travels in Canada (especially in Kitchener)...If it wasn't for that douchebag security guard, CT could talk all day. He's the kind of guy that you could sit down with a beer and listen for hours. It's unfortunate that security was being pushy.

For any vinyl record fans in here, I talked to Kevin Martin after the show and he did say a vinyl record is in the works, and it will be a special edition of some sort. (I love my vinyl records - TGF would sound amazing on vinyl)

Due to the fact that I have A LOT of videos, I will post a couple videos on here, and my link to my YouTube page where the rest of the videos will be. I am still uploading them as I type this, and YouTube is slow right now. Please be patient as more videos upload.

I certainly hope that this band continues to grow and flourish. It can only get better and better.

Cheers. smile.gif

Haha right on about Kitchener. My bro brought our town up and Chad started telling the story, but I left cause I noticed Pat standing alone so I went and chatted with him and then Gracey again. Gonna have to ask my bro to finish the story for me.

And I must again say, that they played their hearts out for this small of a crowd. But that didn't matter, it felt so intimate. Man I'm still psyched, I guess they've done their job eh.

And I can finally after 15 years rest that I got to meet my favourite musicians.
