Yep and this one will be the same, if it catches on.

All this arguing over chart positioning and who was going to sell more albums and Ed and TGF pretty much charted the exact same during its 1st week (Ed at 166 and TGF at 168). Although, sales numbers could vary depending on how the sales of other albums were.

I understand the point you are trying to make but the musical landscape has changed so much over the past 15 years. Throwing Copper came out at the right time. The music industry was huge in the mid-90's and everything seemed to be taking off, especially in the alternative music format. Nowadays, cd sales are at an all time low and their doesn't seem to be the same passion by music fans as their was 15 years ago. As great as Throwing Copper is, I don't see it having half the success it had if it was released today. Am I saying TGF can't be big? No. Only time will tell but if they do, they would have definitely defied the odds. I think it's a lot tougher than some people may think.

I understand how the landscape is. I'm not talking about numbers for numbers. What I'm saying is that, comparably speaking, Throwing Copper took a long time to move up the charts to where it eventually peaked at #1. I'm not even trying to assume that TGF would peak at #1. I doubt they will. But I'm just saying that TGF may have a slow build toward a higher peak number. Throwing Copper wasn't exactly a "mainstream" album, but it sure showed up there.

Anyone happen to know where Throwing Copper debuted on the top 200 charts back in the day?

I believe LIVE and Fleetwood Mac are the only two artists ever to have an album chart in the Billboard 200 every week for over a year before reaching #1.

They're probably the only two artists who will ever achieve that feat.

They probably sold about the same in the US(I bet within a few hundred copies of each other), but overseas sales make the gap between the two albums a bit larger.

It is going to take a lot of work from the fans to keep each band or act afloat in the US. The public feud that the Chad's started and that we continued, was totally counter-productive.

Nobody gives a shit about anything except the music. All the stuff we talk about here is completely irrelevant to the masses. I am supremely confident that TGF will continue to sell as their tour continues and the album will go up in the charts.

There wouldn't have been a feud had a certain someone kept his greed to himself.
