Hey Gang,

This just in........The Gracious Few, by The Gracious Few has reached #1 for the 2nd consecutive week....in my CD player! To me this is the most important chart of all. Below is the documented proof.

1. The Gracious Few, by the Gracious Few
2. Tear The World Down, by We Are The Fallen
3. Live At Gdansk, by David Gilmour

Since I provoked, let's see it grow. It wont tank. Lots of people popping in on tgf's facebook page to say they discovered the record and will be spreading the word.

I'll get the other #'s when I can.

Just found out my CD from amazon has arrived! HAHA! rockin.gif

If it's too loud, you're too old!

I've been spinning the tracks off amazon for the last 10 or so days! I'm so stoked that I finally have the CD!

Here's to ear-bursting, eye-popping, gym-teacher-choking-on-coffee shattering rock 'n roll! rockin.gif

I think more important than the album charting is how well this tour does. If people don't come out to the shows it will be tough for the band to continue to get in venues and make the amount of money they need to survive. Album sales play a very small part in the income of the band, touring guarantees (of money) and merch sales are where they will make their living.

For example, Candlebox's last album was not a huge seller, but the band has been able to tour consistently and make enough to live off of (I assume since they are still alive). That's because they can still fill a venue.

Obviously, if the band scores a single and the album skyrockets then that will take care of itself, but until then, it is going to matter far more if people come out to the shows.

Doesn't look like TGF charted in the Billboard 200 in its 2nd week.

Yeah so, neither did Ed. It will come back on once Appetite hits the radio.

You couldn't resist that could you LMD?

If it's too loud, you're too old!

not true. The album is brickwalled, like so many others that are released nowadays. To their credit, it sounds better than a lot of other current CDs with similar loudness, but I can only imagine how good it would sound if it weren't so compressed.

Yep, you're right I couldn't. You got me! I'm a closet TGF hater! I bought their cd and going to see them this weekend because I can't stand them. I did it all so I can post how much I hate them both.

Seriously, you're the one that couldn't wait to post bad stuff about Ed and you complain when that wasn't even my intention here. Stop sounding like a child. I mean you saying neither did Ed. Gimme a break. Well, great he didn't chart in his 2nd week either. Is that what you want to hear? I actually think both had solid debuts on the charts. But a month ago you couldn't stop posting how this was going to be huge and how you were going to post the charts when you get them. Now you don't like it because I made a post about their 2nd week.

Yes, it will come back once Appetite hits the radio. Is that what you want to hear? TGF is the greatest band is in the history of music.

There is no doubt in my mind that TGF will outsell Ed in the long run. Good for them. I absolutely wish them the best. They deserve it and I'm 100% serious on that.

But I apologize I hurt your feelings. Sorry you didn't like this post
