Live is known as a 90's band(released their first album in 1991), the statement was not accurate.

If you actually watched the interview you would realize that he was referring to when Live and Candlebox started. How is that inaccurate?

Speaking of inaccurate, the correct way to designate a decade is "'90s" not "90's"

Wow - Kevin says "with Live from the 80's and Candlebox from the early 90's"

Really Kevin, really?

Woa, Woa, Woa - I was not ripping on Taylors comment. I was pointing out the fact that he confirmed Live is still going on! That was never inteneded to be a negative. It actually provides hope that these guys (with or without Ed) will perform as Live again. What Kevin and Chad said are in two seperate categories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On other notes:

It is a shame that they cut the interview short. The acoustic slide definately was interesting.

QUOTE(OutToDry @ Sep 21 2010, 8:34 pm) *

Nerves show, they're human and like all of us.....how can you not like them!!!

Never said I didn't. I do like them. They come of as sincere guys who are intersted in putting out the music they are proud of. Just pointing out the quote ... as if nobody around here has done anything like that before. whistle.gif

I will say, however, I'm not a huge fan of those giant choppers Taylor has going on. Not my style, but if he feels it's working for him then great.

In this interview Chad really seemed very humble and respectful. Really seemed like a great guy.

QUOTE(OutToDry @ Sep 21 2010, 8:45 pm) *

Yeah they started in the mid 80 as preteen, the statement was accurate.

Alright - that is a Nick like statement if I've ever seen one. OutToDry - yourself wants me to let you know you need to smack yourself for that one! smile.gif

My fault! Since I didn't see your post before the edit I assumed you were putting the two together. I take it back!

Alright - I got to make sure that's clear. Taylor stated he is still a part of Live. That is a good thing!

I'm very happy to hear this news. Great news to hear! lol.gif

I enjoyed listening to them talk about the Delta Blues and other dirty acoustic stylings, I would love to hear more of that influence on the next record.

Also excited about the acoustic songs during live sets! Can't wait to see what happens there!

WOW,

I haven't been here in ages and honestly I really shouldn't be here now but seriously this is like fucking high school. I never thought in a million years that there would be so much mud slinging about a group of friends that decided that they wanted to make a record and hoped that everyone that loved, supported and had been affected by what they had done as MUSICIANS, in their respected bands, would SUPPORT their new efforts as said MUSICIAN/SONG WRITERS.

This band, The Gracious Few, love making music, are great friends and above all wanted to give you, as well as themselves, something new to attach yourselves to but alas that seems to have been missed as though 1 bad apple gave everyone the right to talk all sorts of shit without any regard to the feelings of the men that made the music that you all at ONE POINT LOVED MORE THAN LIFE IT'S SELF!

Live started in 85' Hoodstock and if you were a real Live fan you would know that. I have known these boys, ED included, since 1993, have had the pleasure of playing several shows with them since then and am quite sure I know them better than any one on this message board and remember this simple fact. Without the music that Live, Ed's solo record and Candlebox, YOU simply do not exist!

I forgive you for the negative, appreciate all of you for the positive and sincerely hope that each and everyone of you finds it in your hearts to quit judging CCPS & myself for what it is that we love doing. We are not judging you, not telling you that you suck and only wish all of you the best. I'm sure that CC&P are glad to call you fans but if this is the way you're gonna treat them I think they are sorely mistaken.

I'm done with this message board but please don't keep yourselves from experiencing great music because you're jaded. Whether it's Eddy K, Live or The Gracious Few there is great music to be absorbed and enjoyed and by the way we never gave a FUCK if you liked what we did because frankly we were doing it for OURSELVES!

If this post makes has in any way upset or made you angry that was not my intention but if that is the case you may want to talk to someone about that, it's quite possible that you have issues far beyond the music!

Sincerely,
Kevin Martin

The Gracious Few

I understand the frustration, but this is how forums are: dialectic, intense and sometimes insulting.

However, If you are indeed the singer of TGF, you should give a fuck because without the fans YOU simply do not exist.

You are a moron. This statement is accurate.

Kevin and Chad both look top-notch in that interview. and you know what... I really felt nervous myself while watching it! Like I was feeling I was a part of the band! Ain't it enormous! smile.gif

Without this idiotic post we all could exist. So shut the fuck up and enjoy the music.

Kevin, it was really good to see you online again. DO not take it too close to yer heart with this thread please and be aware that this very board bares the majority of mad TGF fans who for sure will follow you no matter what and remain grateful to the tremendous record you have delievered!
