I agree, it's not a bad choice. I would have preferred Crying Time as well-just to show more diversity or variety within the album. I would also like to see Tredecim as a single, simply cause it rocks hard.

On a side note, who decides on which songs become singles, what is the criteria? Does the band decide, the record company, is it collaborative?

Since they own the record label they are on, they decide.

I think Crying Time has the best chance at actually getting airplay and getting the band some recognition. Its a great rock ballad that could be played on Octane or Hits 1 channel.

btw....off subject but I heard Thriving Ivory's new song on Sirius Hits 1 and I really dig their sound. They should have Ed opening for them instead of them opening for Ed. They actuall have a hit song out he doesnt right now!

Lots of love around here for Crying Time. I just cant seem to get into that one. I think Closer would do well here in the Atlanta market via 96.1. Of course I also thought Honest Man would too, but I never heard it on there. Anyone?

The Rest of You sounds like a radio-friendly song to me.

Maybe I'm not the best one to pick the single, good thing the didnt ask me, right! smile.gif

My favorite so far is Sing. Not really 'single' material though.

The Rest of You is one my favs too! Reminds me of a LIVE song sort of, maybe thats why I dont know. I like all the songs but I am pulling for Crying Time to get some airplay to see what happens with that song! I think it could be huge with a mainstream audience!

I love Crying Time, but I don't think that song has enough of a hook to be successful on the radio. That opening riff of Appetite is catchy as hell.

I also think it is distinguishable from Honest Man in a number of ways, if they had released Closer then I could understand that thought, but not this song.

I don't particularly enjoy the song, but I think Sing would be the ballad to release.

Cool, maybe now that a few more people know who TGF is Appetite will get more promotion than Honest Man!

I'm surprised that they didn't make Appetite the single of the week on Itunes.

WOW NICK!!!!! We finally agree on something!!! Holy shit, call the internet police.

Closer is a decent rocking song, but it is kind of generic. It's something that I mother Earth or ten other bands of that period could have made, or made something close to.

Appetite is slick. It drives and rocks and the vocals go well with the song. If I were advertising this album to ITUNES, appetite would have been an automatic choice for me.

Sing is also by FAR, my favorite song on the album as well, who thought we'd ever agree as well? Better go check my pulse.

You'll be ok! I like all kinds of music.

Listened to the CD again last night over a stogie and some cold beers. There are a few stand-out songs on this thing for sure. I still think The Rest of You has radio-hit written all over it.

The Rest of You has certainly snuck up on me to become one of my faves. It has become one of those songs that, when cycling through the album yet again on my ipod, I have to stop myself from starting it over again.

Same for me. Just a few months ago I'd have told you that would be the track I'd definitely skip after hearing the fat daddy's boots.
