Has anyone posted bad reviews of Alive? I'm sure that would make Nick real happy.

Oddly enough, it only gets pointed out when Nick does it though. This happened in both Ed's and TGF's forum. I saw the same people go out of their way multiple times in Ed's forums to only post negative reviews or something negative. People couldn't wait to bash him or find some way to. Nick does the same thing here and those people that did countless other times complains. I don't understand it either way. If I don't like something, I don't even bother with it. Why waste my time?

the ulterior reason is a certain singer created the division in Live and it's fanbase and, people are upset for what happened. That is all. Now I know some don't care, about the underworkings of the band, but some do care.
We got 2 records to enjoy.

I can tell you what bugs me about it.

1. He titles the threads as if they are the official source for reviews of the album, and then goes out of his way to post the negative ones. When a negative review showed up on the Ed board it was generally labeled as "new review bashing Alive" or something similar. Now, that is still obnoxious, but trying to make the thread seem informative just takes it to another level.

2. He has stated previously that he really doesn't care about TGF, so it is annoying that he would say that and then do this. The posters here who have an issue with Ed (the person or the music) have made no bones about it or about why they feel that way.

Just my 2 cents.

Sadly, the reviews both in favor and not in favor of TGF are covered in errors. The Distance to Here was Live's breakout album? Yea, they really floundered on that Throwing Copper album.

I can't speak for Nick, but hasn't he made it clear that he doesn't like TGF the same way others declared that they don't like Ed?

No, he has stated that he only posts about TGF to retaliate for things said about Ed by fans or members of TGF. On the other hand, those that are critical of Ed have been so for nearly 10 years for reasons that have been beaten to death. These are mostly former fans of Ed who would openly embrace a reconciliation if he were to honor anything about his previous success with Live. Ed as well as his fervent supporters have openly diminished any contribution that C,C, and P made towards Live's success. It even states as much in his response to C,C, and P's lawsuit. Even if you aren't a longtime fan of Live, there is really no excuse for not understanding why people have such issues with Ed. There's plenty of info right on this message board, as well as countless personal accounts of Ed's behavior from fans, friends, family members, etc. Trying to stir up the same animosity towards TGF is just a lame, feeble attempt to justify one's allegiance to Ed.
