QUOTE(Sakhmet2 @ Sep 19 2010, 8:14 am) *

Until he uses the word "refudiate" or says he can see China from his lawn in California, he's no Sarah Palin.

Not necessarily a Sarah Palin fan. I am a fan, however, of all things media-related and all which is going on in our government, elections (past and present).

Your reference is to her comment that she could see Russia from her lawn in Alaska. She has been known for speaking in simple terms, more readily understandable by the general population vs. the pseudo-intellectuals involved in the government, the press, etc.

She later clarified after making that remark that Alaska is the nearest point of entry to the United States from Russia. Meaning missles............. As the Governor of Alaska, she was heavily involved in the military aspects by the federal government for the protection of the country from any missle attack, which hopefully will never be anything in our lifetime to be dealt with. This issue comes up regularly in any state-wide election in Alaska as it is a major priority for that state's role in the security of the United States.

Howeer, on a lighter note, I will be waiting to see if Ed utters the words you mention. smile.gif

Although the suit is mentioned at wft, we have 55+ pages of threads on it here.

The reason it's there is because Ed is here and is sharing it there with some of the hardcore European fans, which is cool.

We'll be sending this thread to 100+ pages in the future too.

Well having it mentioned at WFT means its not exclusive to here! How about over at tgf? i suppose we have 55 pages depending on how you configure page length. Aren't there dutch and brazil +LiVE+ message boards out there? I'm guessing nobody has the nerve to link to the summons on facebook. I wonder then, how this interviewer knew about the summons. They're from Lancaster, do you think they visit this message board or they might know the band personally or through managment?

Some interviewers simply get ready for their job like they are supposed to, you know.

As far as I remember Where God Sleeps has been offline for some years.

Neither, thanks. I'm not a member of the Tea Party, which is what you seem to be implying.

And to funkyredcaboose..... nope, have no desire to further discuss politics, Sarah Palin or tea. Here to talk Ed, Live, TGF.

There's a difference between speaking in simple terms and dumbing things down until they're stupid. And she does the latter.

A lot of her other statements reveal that she is not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer, and certainly far from well-informed on matters with which she should be familiar - such as the duties of a vice president.

Why are the press pseudo-intellectuals? Next you'll be calling them "elites" or some other right-wing term for educated and articulate people.

Nice one!

With his current preference for monosyllabic song titles, you'll have to listen to entire songs before you hear them. hehe.gif
