Maybe it does seem off that every thread descends into Ed bashing, but then we have a new thread every single time Ed repeats himself and it gets boring. Ed does a mini interview where he says nothing new or interesting? New thread! Minor appearance? New thread! Dropped a turd? New thread! It wouldn't be so bad if he was interesting these days but he really, really, really isn't. So we need to do things to lighten the threads up, because we certainly can't enjoy the content of his interviews because we're so bored by them.

And also, yeah, crazy old women bitches are crazy. And embarrassing. Nothing worse than being at a rock show and being stood next to a middle aged woman who screams too loud, wears all the big baggy band merchandise she can get and goes crazy for yucky, easy, shittier songs in the set list.

Crazy bitches are crazy.

Ed performed Grace on the show.
Here's a video

I get this message when I try to play it "This content is currently unavailable". I suspect it's because I'm not located in the USA. But I will try to get around it and download the video for you.

Just watched it. A short interview that didn't include any new information. That was a great acoustic performance. Ed sounded great as usual. I really liked the guitar sound in this acoustic performance and the drum beat was pretty pedestrian, but a great little bongo-like beat for the performance. Lot's of promotion for the cd and the show in Philly last night.

I cut out a little of your post in the quote. Openers, crazy PEOPLE are crazy. Not just, as you put it, bitches. Why single out any sex over the other? Just that sometimes crazy men do crazier things than the crazy woman who dances around at a concert and irritates the younger male standing next to her.

In terms of the posting of new threads on what you consider repeat interviews. Many of those I am responsible for posting as I get alerts on his interviews. To each his own in interpreting or reading these interviews, but I find personally that I gain something new in each interview. Might be just one small new thing, but to me, it is worth reading and as an Ed fan, each and every new detail I learn is worth the time.

As time goes on and TGF get more attention with the release of their CD and upcoming tour, there will be a lot of interviews and reviews on them, too. I'd be willing to bet that in each of those reviews or interviews, there will be one tiny bit more revealed about them that will make it worth the time to read those as well.

I appreciate a good disagreement in postings as they can be colorful/entertaining. I do not enjoy reading the constant bashes and putdowns of Ed, "middle-aged women" and often what seem to be demeaning references to "gays". To me, those types of posts are irritating and boring by repetition. A good, honest disagreement argued effectively, on the other hand, can keep things interesting.

I enjoyed that performance on Philly NBC a lot. Very much so.

Often live radio performances stink to high heaven. The sound is off. The musicians/vocalists don't have good monitors and are unable to hear themselves, thus off-key vocals, etc.

Ed had a lot of passion and energy in this performance and he was right on key.

Excellent live radio performance!

I was right. Only US IP addresses can access the material. But with my trusty IP address spoofer I was able to watch (and download) the video. There are no borders on the internet!!

For those not blessed to live in the USA, here's a link to the file. It's in the .flv format, so you'll need to use my favourite media player (VLC) to watch it.

I'm still not convinced that Grace was inspired by the Haiti earthquake. Ed says in this interview:

"Definitely took the jumping off place for the lyric there, um, late last year.. you know .. around the time of the haitian earthquake".

Last year? The earthquake occured Jan 12, 2010. Maybe Ed just got the timing mixed up, but he really should get his story straight.

The acoustic (guitar and drums) performance of Grace was pretty good.

Why is he wearing a toboggan? (hat for those not from regions that call that style of hat a toboggans) It looks kind of goofy and doesn't even have the context of being cold because it's September and probably 85+ degrees.

The man can still sing though, but there were spots where his voice was strained.

I know this is an Ed thread, and as a follower of Live and him over the years there is usually no shortage of these types of live promotional performances. Well, I want to see some intimate, acoustic, TGF performances similar in nature!

I say crazy bitches more than anything just to amuse myself. I usually jump at any opportunity to say it, so I'd take it with some salt if I were you. I don't really mean to offend - only to amuse. And usually just myself, as I say.

In terms of the interviews, I'm happy that you enjoy them. That's cool. To me though, he seems to cover very little new each time, which wouldn't be so bad (because as you say, TGF will do a similar thing with repetitive interviews - who doesn't?), but Ed just comes across as kind of fake and yucky with his "happy happy happy creative creative had to break free new chapter" thing he's doing these days. I don't mind that there's a new thread for all his interviews really, I was just explaining - from my point of view - why so many of them descend into something else. A lot of us have a bit of a problem with Ed these days, so we don't much care for the tiny morsel of fresh information that can be found in his multiple interviews.

But, sadly for some, we do take pleasure in thinking up new ways to bash the guy.

It's just how it is.

QUOTE(Hoodstock @ Sep 16 2010, 8:41 pm) *

eh.gif Really - we've come to the point where a link about an appearance by Ed is posted and it gets blasted. I know a lot of people don't like the album and are pissed about some of the stuff being said about him (including myself), but last time I checked this was a Live website and he was the lead singer of the band that was Live.

When it comes down to the Ed vs. TGF fued I just want to let you guys know that I'm here because of Live. I'm interested in what they do (all of them) whether it sucks or not.

Critiquing is great, but it would be great if we could post and read about both without all the blasting. I don't want to see this turn soley into and Ed or TGF board. It should be here for everyone.

Nick - I don't support a lot of the things you do or say but thanks for posting this. It should be here.

Does anyone know if this was an interview or performance? Any footage or info would be great.

Wow, ver good post Hoodie. Never thought I'd say that.

I've said my peace about Ed and I'm gonna let that be that. Not responding in the Ed is a hypocrit thread or any other BS threads of the same idea.

I think we need to say on our own side and let some common sense take over. While I do agree 100% with everything Sinful and Ex have said here, we've gotta end it somewhere.

When it was Nicks site, I didn't care. But Dan owns it now and I have the utmost respect for him. I am not posting anything negative about Ed in any of these threads anymore. People who are still fans of his should be allowed to carry on without being harassed. Although I have not one ounce of respect for ANYONE who continues to support this man, that is that. It gives me even more incentive to not want to correspond with any of you. In my final opinion on this side of things, I think anybody who supports him is a slime bucket douche bag and I honestly can't be bothered pushing another single key on this keyboard responding to any of you. A complete waste of time, space, air and skin is all you are.
