"Only speaking our minds and heart over the band's dissolving" is not even what Funky or I are talking about. Funkys response to my comment seems irrelevant. How does Sinfuls question lead to a more conclusive observation if a small sample of posters, of which TGF fans are the majority, started off as TGF fans bashing Ed since 2001 or not?

How is my comment irrelevant?

The point I am making is that it says a lot that the hardcore fans who have been visiting this site for a long time have mostly become huge supporters of TGF. Your post made that sound like it just happened overnight, when it was really more a natural evolution of the board than that.

Further, Sinful wasn't asking a question, he was making a statement about the state of this board and I don't see how he was wrong.

Has anyone noticed how the TGF forum is BOOMING with energy and interest while the Ed side of things is as dead as... well Live when he ran it (into the ground)?

With a question mark at the end, it looks like Sinful was asking a question. So I referred to it as a "question lead[ing] to a more conclusive observation." Do you see anything wrong with how I categorized what Sinful said?

I felt it was safe to assume that Sinful's observation was concluding that these boards were an indication of how TGF was way more popular than Ed right now. Whether the fans on this board began as Live fans or not, it seem mostly irrelevant to Sinfuls suggestion when you consider this board as a small sample of posters within the realm of all TGF/Ed/Live fans, especially when the groups of posters here are mostly TGF fans and that TGF's album just came out. Since Sinful is talking about the current state of the board, how is it relevant knowing how a poster's TGF fandom was induced? I don't even understand how my original comment was making it sound like TGF fandom happened overnight.

I assumed his question was rhetorical because in the case of this board, he is spot on.

I also didn't understand your comment, because I don't think he was trying to make a statement about the overall popularity of both acts.

theres small group of posters here in total, who are mostly tgf fans and the album just came out. that is a good reason why there is way more activity on the tgf board right now. whats not right about that

Nothing is wrong about that, but it is more interesting to consider it in light of the evolution of the board.

I am seeing Ed in concert this Fall. If I get a chance to speak with him afterward (and I have reason to believe that I might), then I may conduct my own "interview" with him and ask him about the break-up and about TGF. I don't know if I will have the guts to ask about the break up, but I will defintely ask him about TGF. And if he tells me he still hasn't had a chance to check it out, I will personally hand him a TGF cd. I'm not going to be rude or pushy. I have respect for the man and I am not an ignoramous. But I would like to ask him about this if I ever have the chance.

still think with a small amount of people and the fact that the tgf album was released, the evolution is hardly a factor. fb might be a better way of tallying, with 23000 live fans, 15k ed, and 15k TGF, you know tgf got a bunch from candle box. Something with a huge distribution like that hardly reflects in the boards here. Thats all assuming that the ed and tgf numbers are shared pretty well with the live fans.
