Stage fucking rocks and always gave a certain edge to any +LIVE+ show when it was played.

Runaway, I almost always skip that song, and I know I will get some heat for this but Waitress maybe for some personal reasons too. I used to be a waitress and I believe if you act like a bitch to the people who essentially pay you(you know the restaurants pays sh*t for wages), you don't deserve some f*** change.

Waitress omg.gif omg.gif omg.gif has been a favorite for me all this year, I remember to tip the waitress next time lol.gif

I've always liked 'Heaven wore a Shirt'.

The song isn't great, but it's not the worst. It needed more time and tweaking in my opinion.

QUOTE(mtjaws @ Sep 13 2010, 4:01 pm) *

yes, it's an old thread, but that's what noobs reply to!

Everyone here brought up some good nominees, and I agree with some of them. "OK?" is bad, "Heaven Wore a Shirt" is repetitively bad, and "Call Me a Fool" is um, differently bad.

But the one song that I have never liked and almost always skip is "Stage". Was he really a "rock n roll messiah"?! Not in my opinion. It is the one song I don't like on the otherwise brilliant Throwing Copper. Replace it with "Negation", and TC becomes that much better.

Does anyone also dislike "Stage"?

How could you pick Stage, Heaven Wore a Shirt, and even Ok? given the amount of shit piled up on the last two Live records? Madness, I say.

Are you saying you just dislike Stage because of the lyrics? If that is the case you should probably dismiss a lot of that album.

I wonder if some of these Stage haters even know what/who Stage is about.

kurt cobain and whatsherface?

i gotta say i never really liked the song. lakini's juice grates on me too. oh yeh, although lyrically Top is a superb song, i dont like listening to it. In fact, every live album has at least a few songs i dislike, which i think is normal. i know that goes against the throwing copper elitism that is common around here.

I'm with you, I don't particularly Waitress or Shit Town all that much, though I don't normally skip them.

I doubt it but then again I don't know what it is about other than not the obvious.

V pretty much killed Live for me, so any and every song off of that album could be ranked as some of the worst for me. It was the last Live album I purchased.

For some reason I am reminded of the first time I heard "Heaven" on the radio...I remember thinking "oh this song sounds decent" as the song started. Then it became Ed singing about his daughters and I was all like uhoh.gif

The last time that man wrote any good lyrics was on TDTH.

The last two albums do have a lot of duds, and they all kind of blend together. I honestly couldn't sing one of those later songs just by hearing the title (singles excluded). I named those other ones though because I just don't like them. Some songs work for me, some don't. That's all.

While some "Stage" lyrics are not the best, it's the whole too-fast rock of it that doesn't fit the rest of the album, and so I usually skip it. Some albums have a flow to it all, but to me, "Stage" messes it up, and therefore I don't like it.

I'm not trying to be different just for the fun of it. That's just the one song that I know I skip because it doesn't work for me. I've enjoyed reading everyone else's answers too.
