This comparison is an insult to gay people everywhere. Take it back.

Sorry :\ I do feel bad saying these things, but it really isn't meant as gay bashing but as an insult in the colloquial sense. Sorry!

God, reading Luke's post, he keeps hitting it on the head every time. It's very, very obvious to me now that LIVE used to be Ed providing the lyrics and occasional hook and absolutely nothing else. The brilliant, brilliant music was always CC&P. It should have been clearer to me earlier when Ed's takeover coincided with the unbelievable decline in the quality of the music, but this record which is fucking loaded with brilliant talent really makes it painfully obvious to anyone still in denial. It's pretty hilarious yet understandable that the man with the biggest ego was in fact the one with by far the least talent.

No, but TGF will never sell enough albums to come close to making on that chart at all.

I never expected Ed K.'s CD to be a big seller in the US. Certain TGF are expecting huge sales for the album, and it is just unrealistic.

Thanks, Captain Obvious. Expecting huge sales for ANY album is unrealistic these days. Relative to those albums, though? Skillet, a Christian rock band, has their album "Awake" on the chart having sold nearly 200,000 copies of it. I can see TGF approaching that. You're sorely underestimating the effect having their song placed on that college football intro is going to have.

200,000 copies? No chance in hell. If I'm wrong I'll be the first to admit it. However I'd bet that EMI didn't even ship anywhere near 200,000 copies of the album.

Who gives a shit if they initially ship that many? We'll see when all is said and done.

Here's a question for you: who do you think would care more if they were proven wrong, me or you?

I don't care how many copies of the cd they sell, except for the fact that I want the five members of TGF to make a nice hefty six-figure payday off of this album and tour this year. They deserve it as musicians and for all of the hard work that they have put into this.

But these arguments are so entertaining!

I think you guys should make this really interesting. You should make a real bet. You should set down some specifc terms, with interesting stakes, like streaking through the quad at lunch, that involve public humiliation.

Trust me... no body wants to see me streaking anywhere. That'd be more punishment for others than humiliation for me.

To be honest, I don't care about TGF. I just get annoyed when TGF band members and fans put down Ed.

As embarassing as that statement should be, at least we finally got an honest answer out of Ned.

What?

LOL!!

It bothers you when someone "put's down" Ed? You're well beyond being an Ed FAN, I'm seriously curious if you don't have some sort of pathological affliction. I mean, to be bothered because someone, who cares about Live's music and the other members of the band puts done the 4th, and ex-member, of the band who is in fact no one that you actually know.

I beat the NCAA to the punch. I use Honest Man in my podcast, it's the opening music. It's a political show from a freedom oriented Libertarian perspective, so given the economic climate of "tax and spend", the lyrics of Honest Man seemed to fit perfectly.

Shhh!, but don't tell anyone. I obviously didn't get permission and I don't want iTunes to yank it.

It's not monetized in anyway, so I'm not ripping anyone off. It fit and helps the music hit more ears that otherwise might not be exposed to it. I've had at least two people ask me about it.
