I have a receipt for the digital album I bought and everything. tear.gif However, I guess it is Topspin media's fault and not TGF.

I have gotten many offers of help from others on here though. Thanks to everyone who messaged me.

I always admit when I'm wrong. I said that most TGF promotions have been failures. I don't think I am wrong about that.

The Itunes single of the week is nice, but the jury is still out on whether it will increase actual sales for TGF. When you give something away for free, sometimes it is hard to get people to pay for it.

Name one promotional failure besides Drive for 25, which was hardly promoted in the first place.

Can't say Drive for 25 was really a promotion. They've done 10 other things in it's place for the fans since that.

The biggest failure so far by TGF was the incorrect tracklisting. That was a really careless error by the band and made them look amateurish.

Well as for promotions, I have gotten Facebook ads on my wall for Gracious Few shows more than 7 hours from my house. That is almost as bad as buying a Billboard in an area that doesn't have the CD or a show to promote.

no, it is, and the band also prints the covers to the CDs and burns the disks at home on their PCs. More than that, they printed a billboard and placed it in a very bad place.

You promote events on Ed's Facebook that are in different countries. How is that any different? Oh wait it isn't.

So, we've now gone from most of their promotions failing to one failure and one (the billboard) that you only think is a failure because it isn't how you would have done it.

I don't expect to see it on there either, but are you really comparing one week of TGF sales for the Ed K CD that has been out since the beginning of July?

It is very different. Facebook ads cost money. To make the most out of your ads you have to put them in the correct geographic location.

No, but TGF will never sell enough albums to come close to making on that chart at all.

I never expected Ed K.'s CD to be a big seller in the US. Certain TGF are expecting huge sales for the album, and it is just unrealistic.

Ned points to absurdly obscure things as failures while conveniently ignoring prime ESPN national placement and downplaying better iTunes promotion than the gay man could dream of. You can argue the efficiency of the spending all you want, but promotion is promotion and that's why you're hear talking about TGF with every active member of the site and there are fucking crickets over on the gay side of things here.
