Oh, it is a compilation CD of some of the biggest radio hits of the spring. Very cool!

OMFG!!! If you only knew!! You know who buys the Fresh CD's? preteens and young teens!!!! Although now I think only the preteens buy them because the teenagers have learnt how to steal music off the internet!!!! I'm telling you - the Fresh CD is NOTHING to be proud of!! More like embarrassed!

It's funny cuz They Stood Up For Love made a So Fresh CD hits of Summer 99/00.

Don't ask how I know that --- and yes only wired pre-teens and Internet-less teens by those discs. Or maybe single girls with cd players in the cars their daddies bought them

I've seen a lot of negative jabs at "middle-aged women" in posts on this site relating to Ed's fan base. Now I'm seeing that "preteens and young teens" are also a negative. Also that Ed should be embarrassed that he has a song on this comp cd.

Since there seems to be a rather wide area of age groups and other factors which are negative as they relate to Ed, I wonder if someone could enlighten me as to what IS considered to be a positive and acceptable fan base.

If individuals appreciate your music and purchase your music, what difference is there as to age or any other group factor? I say the more varied your fan base, the better. More to draw from. I also say good for Ed on this comp cd as any publicity/exposure is a good thing.

I know there are a lot of hard feelings for some on this site with Ed. I personally think it's too bad that fans of Ed or fans of The Gracious Few cannot cut some slack to the band/person you choose not to follow. After all, why can't we wish them all success? It is obvious from the enthusiasm that many have on here for The Gracious Few cd as well as those suporting Ed that there is room for all to succeed. Why can't we just realize that Live is no more and celebrate the success of all involved when good things happen to them?

There are many people in the world who just don't want others have any succes. Wheter that is with a real rock record or a really poppy album, they just wanna see them fail. And although that's really sick, I know, it's just a something of all times, I guess.

I may be sick, but if for example Timbaland puts out another song featuring 23 different artists that are hot at that time, I truly wish for it to fail... BADLY.

If it becomes a big hit, you can expect a shit load of other musicians to do the same thing, if it fails, maybe then other musicians try something different. Simple as that, really.

yeah I get you, but part is the fact that people gets irritate by an artist making hits easy, and the other part is people sometimes just don't want others to have any luck or succes. I think that's a difference, but sometimes both are combined, which is just wrong.

I wasnt pointing at you or most of the posters on here btw wink.gif just a general remark. And no you're not sick... I mean: you're from Holland!

oh livefan, I'm not baggin out teens/preteens - I'm quite sure that they aren't Ed's target market is all! And anyway, those kids aren't or won't be buying the Fresh CD because Grace is on it!! Mostly because Justin Bieber is on it! And because it is aggressively marketed to them. But then again, maybe Ed is chasing the kid market - didn't he recently do some children's festival in the US?

Seriously, I do wish Ed success...I just wish it was with half decent music that we know he's capable of so that I (a bordering on middle aged woman) could also enjoy smile.gif

Ed might be going to that market. To be fair, his interview last week alluded to the kids foundation he was sponsoring and he sponsors 10 kids. It's a worthy cause. See, I am not so bad after all!!!

That's an awesome site. I've always wanted to see how many times certain songs were getting played Australia wide.

I don't hear it being played so much anymore though - prob only once every 2nd day now.

I have to say I haven't heard any of his music on the radio at all. Locally thier is absolutely no airplay, just the negative mention I posted before after a DJ played a Live song on the radio.

Damn - that new Kings of Leon single is on fire on that chart. Up 2323% from last week. I'm getting that album when it comes out!
