One additional comment for anyone who says this "isn't original": middlefinger.gif

Out To Dry doesn't mince words.........I know a masterpiece when I hear one, I've heard some tracks, and I know it will be pure platinum baby!! Even if it's not, it's what I've been waiting for over 10 years from C&C&P. I think we're all going to happy campers

And to Fish's post and the ealier A-FUCKING-MEN Brother!!!

OMG! I can't take it! Is it my emotional investment in this band that has biased me? Do I hear this album as being better than it is? Or is this that damn great! I am blown away by this album so far. Am I crazy or can this be the greatest album ever created? I can't stop listening to that damn Amazon.com page. There is SO MUCH GOING ON in these songs that I hear something different evey time. It's like pealing away an onion. Or maybe more like a Tootsie Pop - with a sweet tasty treat in the middle. The songs speak to me up one side and down the other.

What's Wrong has a bit of a Led Zep vibe to me.

I don't know, I'm struggling with this too. On one hand lately we've been eagerly anticipating Live albums only to be completely disappointed and honestly embarrassed. So to get something even average might seem amazing.

On the other hand a lot of these songs do seem really good.

I'm trying to figure out if this was a band I never heard of on the radio if I would be into them as much as I am now.

One more thought. Kevin needs to quit Candlebox. I can fully commit to quitting Ed and forgetting about Live, and fully commit to TGF, if it didn't feel so much like a side project for Kevin. It's like if Ryan Howard played for the Phillies and the Braves. It's getting in the way of my feelings.

whoa whoa whoa... you must be from the LIVE side of things where your band just broke up and this is your full-on investment now. I understand that, but as a bigger Candlebox fan I respectfully disagree w/ you. Ive been listening to Candlebox since 93 and Im not cool w/ Kevin leaving those guys for TGF full time. Yes, this album sounds amazing and Im sure the shows will be as well. But the last Candlebox record was great (unlike the past few LIVE records), so Im not ready for Kevin to ditch his band just yet. If Candlebox was going off the deep end, Id be with you. But if they are still releasing quality music (which as of 2008 they were), I have no problem with him being with both bands.

Kevin does sound like he is 110% behind TGF for the next 2 years, tho. I wouldnt be surprised if there was another TGF record before there is another Candlebox LP, either.

Sorry, had to chime in - Im probably one of the only Candlebox fans that came over here, as of yet.

It's a hard question to answer. I've been spinning everything I've ripped from Amazon.com alongside my Live heavy hitters, half of Sound of Madness and most of Stone Sour's catalog and constantly find myself jumping to the next TGF song or repeating the last TGF song that played. Part of that, though is simply because the TGF stuff is brand new and I haven't spun it twenty thousand times yet but still, every song is getting the repeat treatment. I think in a few months I'll be better able to answer whether or not this is truly my rock and roll Thriller or if it's just a passing feeling supported by Live's recent efforts and break up.

Sing is up now!

I really like the music for this song, but I kinda find some of the lyrics to be cheesy. The "song about a band being on the road" motif is a little overused. The music is really cool and different from the rest of the album though.

Sean's shredding is awesome in this song.
