I doubt there are any fans of this band here but damn I'm pissed off.

After 25 years the drummer (integral member of the band, actually kind of the leader) left Dream Theater. They have been one of my favourite bands of the last decade and Mike has been a drumming inspiration to me.
It fucking blows, Live last year now this. Though seeing how I'm getting kick ass music from TGF I hope to see Dream Theater find someone (they will continue) to fill in massive drum shoes and continue to make amazing music.

I just hope Mike can create some awesome new music too, and I hope he didn't leave a band he bled for for 25 years to join permanently the cushy money maker that he has in drumming for Avenged Sevenfold.

Well either way, just wanted to get that off my chest.

Imagine what I felt when during 1 year I lost Live, Oasis and Bloc Party. 3 top bans of mine.

25 years.. I will never get it. On the one hand, I do. On another... 25 fucking years.. Why quit?

Says he was burnt out this and that. Dude works like a horse (arguably one of the hardest working musicians out there today) Still it's like, slow down with the other shit and take time off, you're only human. But really, like with any break up (i think we all can understand here with all the live drama lol) there are things that must have happened behind the closed doors.

Man, if Tool breaks up anytime soon, I'm gonna punch a baby.
