Acoustic, would it have been better? Options

Ok, here's the deal. My ill mind seeks for another way to forgive and virtually like Ed once again. It is subconcious, I am betting.

But for now it is losing.

I thought.... would it have been better if Ed did not get his "band" together and have an acoustic carreer. Singing same old songs, ok, some - with strings etc etc... but without any "band"

Would it be easier for us to digest?

No. I don't care about his garage band supporting act except to make fun of them for being shitty garage band musicians. Even if on a solo acoustic career, Ed would still have ruined my favorite band, stolen from his lifelong friends while purporting to be a reformed, honest man, and writing contrived, egocentric and frankly, pompous pop rock that appeals only to post-menopausal women who fall for his shit lyrics and "cool" image. I don't know/say that one thing is better then the other (solo or full band), but I would NEVER ever go to a show in which Ed only play acoustic, song after song. His new band performances however, are quite nice.

I think I would have enjoyed his new album a lot more if he had gone with a more acoustic sound. The acoustic version of Zion was quite good.

To be honest I really don't care, but the instrumental work on the CD sound so fucking bland... it's truly horrible. So, yeah, because that's the case I would have preferred an acoustic sound.
