Listening to the clips streaming on Amazon all day. Loving it. One Week until this cd drops! I can't wait. I haven't felt this kind of anticipation about an album in a long time.

Can't get enough of The Few. I knew this song would slay from the first moment we got the short clip last year.

Yeah, The Few is awesome. Very close second behind Guilty Fever for me. I love the second half of the song.

Name one song from TGF's album that doesn't borrow from another genre of music.

I did not ever think that with each post a man can get more and more and more ridiculous. When you think that the end has come, he, as we say it in Russia, burns it once again. How can you get enough of this sweety!

My thoughts exactly. i can not remember the last time I was so pumped for an upcoming release!

Gotta love the way Kevin plays with the notes here, absolutely.
Still, with every song being a close second, HM is the No1 for me. Feels like it is becoming the song of the 2010 in my chart and it clearly is one of my all-time faves

Name one song ever that doesn't.

-Appetite, Honest Man, Tredecim, Guilty Fever, The Few, all sound like 70's rock retreads.

-The Rest of You is rock/pop with out of place vocals

-What's Wrong and Crying Time sound like typical light rock songs on a Candlebox album.

It is fine to like this type of music. It can't be classified as original though.

Maybe this is how you ended up a gym teacher. Reread the original question and answer it appropriately.

What is your point Nick, all rock n roll has eminated from the blues and everything has a reference. The TGF sound is all their own.

I need to work on some photoshops.

Not much, most things have already been done. However I would classify a band like Phoenix to have an original sound, at least for mainstream music.

Do this board a favour. stfu. If not, try reading with both eyes, while using more than 0.467% of your brain if any.

Or this really is how you end up a gym teacher? Not a professor for students, but a teacher for a gym.

How is what I said a contradiction? My original statement said that TGF didn't have an original sound. I said nothing to contradict that statement at all. I also gave an example of another band that has what I feel is an original sound for mainstream music in Phoenix.

You are kidding right? Maybe if you have never heard the Talking Heads, The Cars, or any recent indie music.

I wouldn't ever claim TGF is original, but their sound is far from common right now. Wolfmother is the only other artist doing the classic rock throwback with any success, though TGF doesn't just do throwback rock. Since they are doing rock that is different from the current rock scene you will just need to get used to people calling them original. Its all relative though.

Man, you really do have sand in your vagina.

If you don't enjoy these tunes, that's fine. You think they're rip-offs - that's fine.

Ed's material sounds like Kelly Clarkson + Daughtry rolled into one ugly sound - not that anyone expected anything less - but that's fine.

But, above all this, I don't know who lied to you that only every post you make here is a 'fact' yet other people's valid posts are 'opinion'. Last I remember, you were still referencing Ed Kowalczyk a 'rock' act and 'Alive' an awesome sounding album, so I don't know how anyone in their right mind can take you seriously, but anyway.

Stop being such a tit.
