Can somebody explain these figures to me? What do the '999' and '77' figures represent? Thanks.

I think the 77 might be sales in the week. Still trying to figure it out but the bold #'s are the sales totals

So with that being said, You can spout that TGF failed by getting EMI to distribute their record in the States?

When did I say that?

Ed's album was hard to find in most stores, and TGF will be facing the same problem especially since September 14th is a huge release date filled with insane of number of bands releasing new material. My local FYE isn't getting TGF's album, and I bet if you call around most stores won't be getting many copies of the album, if they are getting any at all.

I find it hilarious that you bothered to ask if a store had the CD of a band that you don't like just so you could post about it on a message board.

Ok, I found out what each column indicates

CODE
TW  | ARTIST       | ALBUM  | TW SALES| % CHANGE | LW SALES | TOTAL SALES
166 | KOWALCZYK, ED| ALIVE  | 3,222   | 999      | 77       | 3,297

TW - This week's chart position
TW Sales - number of sales this week
% Change - % change from the previous week - this figure is so high because Alive was a debut entry
LW Sales - number of sales last week

Let's see, Alive debuted at #4 in the Netherlands and #27 in Belgium. Ed is just finishing up a hugely successful tour in the region. Fail?

Grace has grown into a huge hit single in Australia, bigger than any Live single since Throwing Copper. The tour later this year is poised to be a huge success. Fail?

Ed released Alive on his own label in the US and charted. Ed will tour continually in the coming year. Fail?

Can he hold his US Audience? I've never disputed the Austrailian & European success.

Hey, the field needs watering.

Guys, stop fueling this bottom feeder with debates on album sales. Don't stoop to his mud gulping levels.

The single "Grace" has charted better on radio than any Live single since Throwing Copper in Australia.

I dunno if this really means anything - the others are right about the whole charting thing...ask someone do they know who Ed Kowalczyk is and you'll get a 1% yes rate. Ask someone if they know who LIVE are and you'll get a 33% yes rate.

It's not being played too much now. It had its place in the sun for a couple of weeks but that's passed.

fish and pokey, right on.
I still listen to the album. It's that voice, I love it.
I'm a singer and my workout is always Ed's voice. (Try singing the entirety of TDTH full out.)
But it is lacking in personality with regard to the other instruments. And lyrically.

So, because it got higher on a countdown on a radio station in Australia, makes it their best single since TDTH in that country?? Great logic buddy.

FYI, even Heaven sold more than quadruple what grace did in that country. If I'm not completely mistaken, I think the song RUN AWA with Shelby whoever even sold more.

If you think that because Grace reached the top 20 on some countdown makes it the most successful single, you've got some serious common sense issues, or lack thereof.
