The predictibility and lightness of TROY is the beauty of it. In the middle of a hard rocking heavy album a break like that is inevitable and pretty secure. The album needs it.

I( love it. I love every song I heard. Damn, a week away. Can not wait!

I agree. TROY is a nice song and and break from the hard rock sound of the album. BUt the The Few rules.

I find TROY weak too. The chorus might grow on me as it's still catchy.
You're right about the utility of a "lighter" song in the middle of a hard rocking heavy album, but we already have "What's Wrong" and "Crying Time" for that wink.gif

It depends on how you define "light". From your post i think you tally "light" with "slow" and "heavy" with "fast". To my ears, neither What's wrong nor Cryin time are light - there are heavy guitars and bass in the songs. But TROY is a nice song with light guitar playing and a catchy melody. It is much better than the majority of Alive, SFBM, BoP and V songs.

Please, stop putting Alive in one line with Live records, even SFBM. It is a horrible comparison.

Well like it or not SFBM was under the name Live and Alive sounds very much like SFBM.

Trying to compare Alive to Live records is a major stretch. TGF's record will stand on it's own for what it intention is, Originality.

Copying the 70's rock blueprint is hardly original.

This is what Nick's job is now. To go on the attack and rampage all TGF threads. Hey if this is what you want to do, be prepared to get a daily asswhoopin from me.

It is great that you like TGF's music, but it is hardly what I would call an original sound.

It harkens back to old classic rock. But, it is their sound, it's their original organic compositions. If you can't accept that, then fuck off.

If you want me to to Ed's page and start spewing the type of garbage you're spreading, tempt me.

Do you still think that TGF's album will outsell Ed's 10 to 1? What are your chart predictions for the US, Netherlands, and Belgium?
