That's your opinion, and you are entitled to it. Just as I am entitled to dislike the musical direction that TGF chose for their debut album.

Why do we feel the need to go round and round about this? We already acknowledge that people are entitled to their own opinions and what they like or dislike.

Most people around here dislike Ed's first effort. This has NOTHING to do with TGF. So stop bringing them into it every chance you get. We are here to discuss Ed's effort here, not TGF right?

I am quite surprised that many of you voted that you "love" this album.

Perhaps I shouldn't have used the word hate. That is quite a strong emotion. Can I change it to "Dislike it" instead dangum? Can you change it for me if I can't?

although I fully agree with you post overall, I don't think that studio time argument totally fits. If I remember correctly, TC took even shorter to record then SFBM.

Oh, did it? I'm sure though that they took quite awhile developing and perfecting songs on Throwing Copper before hitting the studio, whereas particularly BOP, SFBM, and Alive I think Ed wrote the songs brought them into the studio and they created the tracks there.

I'm on record saying I like the record. There are about 6 songs that I have come to enjoy from it. A little preachy for me, but a decent release from Ed.

I guess from the two choices I'd have to go with Love It (which is a little too strong on the verbage).

Then you should change Love it to Like it to make it fair.

I think "like it" should be "tickled pink" and "dislike" should be "it's poppycock".

Maybe would should also add "Meh" for those that are undecided between "Like It" or "Dislike It".
