I also dont need you or anyone else to tell me that its fine for me to support Ed. I'm a big boy, I can make up my own mind about what I like and what I dont. And quite frankly, I'm upset that CC&P chose to work with Kevin Martin, as I do not care for his voice. I hope their next venture comes with a better lead singer.

See there's where your venom comes in. Let's be dissappointed in KM...come on. His voice suits the TGF music perfectly. You may not like it but he's changed it a bit to flow with the TGF sound. Ed's career did appeal to me.........a long time ago....I once held Ed's music and command over the audience to be communal too, as Fish has stated. There was more than music there for me. It was personal. I once held him high up but his transformation to what has become is why I still throw the stones. I am not beating him for the simple sake of it. I became upset with the drudge into the wastebasket. It could have been so much more.

You can say you are upset because CT, CG, and PD chose Kevin Martin to be their lead singer for the simple reason that you don't like his voice, but if some of us get upset because of Ed's actions over the past five years then we must be rebuked because we are "Ed haters."

There's no venom in not liking CC&P partnering with KM. If you'll go back to the last time we talked about this (Im pretty sure it was either with you or OTD), you can note that I also cant wait to give him a chance. September 14th is when it starts.

"the bait" ? he's not baiting you into anything, he asked a simple question which given what you just said I think is a fair question. You seem to say one thing, then when someone calls you on it you go "oh no no no you got it all wrong, i didn't mean that". We're not mind readers. Like before, if you didn't really believe that CCP were just nothing more than a backing band and you were talking from a general public point of view, you should have said that. The article doesn't imply that so I don't know what you were reading.
I still don't agree with that point anyways, see my post about Ed being just "the bald guy from live" and without being bald he'd just be "the guy from live". He's not a very big "face" of the band.

But back to Funky's question, you say you're "upset" that CCP chose to work with KM just because you don't like his voice and we're supposed to go "yeah that's plenty reason to be upset with CCP". But if people are upset about Ed for any one of the multiple reasons people have stated here then we are outright wrong? That's how I read it too, if this is "not even close", then like the backing band comment you really need to work on your communication skills. When I want tea I don't ask for coffee.

You did not state your case very well in terms of what you meant. If you're surprised that they jumped on you, you need to clear you head, go back, and read what you wrote right after the reviews was posted.

Because the only way it could be interpreted from the way it was written is that you wholly endorsed the writer's viewpoint that Ed was Live and the rest were just a backing band.

Anything else you meant remained completely in your own head.
