Anyone else who thinks the part in Brothers Unware with "it's simple as that" is cool? It always give chills, and in this recording Ed's voice is even rawer.

I couldn't agree more! His voice is so raw and there are several parts on this demo that Ed is just killing it! In my opinion, "Brother's Unaware" is much better on this demo than it is on the album itself.

I don't come here very often anymore, but I'm glad I did today. Those who know me from the oldddddddddd days probably know Mental Jewelry is my favorite Live album. So this is just a really, really awesome thing to come upon.

Right on, nice to see both of you guys are still active here. Definitely planning on coming around here more, I didn't realize that it's still pretty alive. I'm intrigued to see if anything else by the way of demos, unreleased recordings, etc. will pop up! I remember getting my hands on the TDTH demos way back in the day and thinking that I was the shit for having them. lol.gif

Dude - yes!

I was a snot-nosed kid then, but I remember those days fondly. Got a lot of music in B+P tape exchanges in those days. That shit was pre-mp3! Something that's so easy now used to be such a pain in the ass.. but there was adventure in it, ya know?

Still listening to this recording...

Sometimes in Ed's vocals you can hear remnants of the way he used to sing on DOAD. They were all cleaned up on the versions that made it onto Mental Jewelry.
