take a look at every album on itunes. most groups are doing this. it doesnt mean anything about who ed or chad are as people or their level of greed

I don't care about the level of greed. I'm not against people making money. I'm against having to pay for something twice just because the piece I need didn't come with the format I prefer.

I do not, as of yet, have an iPod. Thus, I have no interest in iTunes at this particular juncture.

And as for buying digital copies, when they're DRM free, I'll consider it. Until then, I'd just as soon rip my CD's.

No way I am buying the album from Itunes. Shitty DRM, shitty file quality, and no physical album.

If "All I Hear" isn't on the physical album I'm going to be bummed.

Does anyone know if the "physical cd" be available of TGF's website because I would buy it from them first? I know they are selling the digital download, but didn't see anything about the actual cd. If not, I'll just order it from Amazon.com.

exactly, I don't have itunes on my computer. Amazon's download service is pretty good though even though you have to download the downloader. DRM free is nice.

The only time I would purchase a digital copy over a CD, is if the digital copy was in FLAC format (or any other lossless format) and the price was significantly cheaper than the CD.

There is no way I'd ever pay for an MP3. Well, except for Ed's bootleg series where there's no alternative...

People's standards in music are dropping. It will be a sad day when a CD with cover art and liner notes eventually fade away...

I agree. The same was said when the record gave way to tape which then gave way to CD .. but they were all still physical. I've only bought the occassional mp3 here or there where there was no alternative like you said. Otherwise if it's mp3 I'll download it for free. The music that I truely believe is worth buying I'd like to have the hard copy. I'll then burn it to mp3, but encoded well. I hate itunes for examples, their songs sound terrible.

Agree wholeheartedly! Artists spend a lot of time making sure the art is right all. It is a shame to see that go to waste. Not to mention the severe downgrade in quality.

Itunes' files are so compressed you can hear the loss of quality. Ugh.

There's going to be some very interesting commentary on this board if the iTunes version includes a 'bonus track.'

And yes, as with Alive, I will buy both the iTunes version and a physical CD if that's the case.
