Now back to the original thread topic. Personally, I think its great that Ed is on the Christian chart. I could care less about where he is on the chart. I could care less about where ANY artist is on ANY chart. But its interesting information for a mind like mine. If I like the music, that is what matters to me.

Some of you posters seem so caught up with your own ideas and definitions of success that you seem to forget who ultimately defines success in ones' life.

I may decide to post at graciousfans.com. I'm afraid that I might find some of the behaviour over there that drives me crazy over here though. Not the 'bitch at nick' stuff, but the 'if you dont like what I like then you're just plain wrong' stuff. Will have to check it out.

I agree. I find myself defending ed but i love the other guys too. its work not rooting against tgf after reading some messages from people. the same thing happended to guns n roses where people who were die hard fans were comparing velvet revolver to axl and his new band. it seemed like they had to choose sides too.

As for the TGF fans "scaring off" Ed fans, that's just BS. I don't have a problem with Ed fans, and I don't think OTD, Aitkens or any of the others do either .. we got a problem with Ed, not his fans. The only fan there's a problem with is yourself Nick. Any Ed fan that's using the excuse of being "scared of bullying" to post here is pretty lame I think, they should just post! We'll probably disagree with things they say, but so what, we're not gonna attack them personally (can be 100% sure of this now that Liverocks is on holidays again).

I don't know about "scaring off" Ed fans, but keeping them away? Yes it can. It just gets really old. FOL has been opening automatically as a tab in my browser for several days now and I just couldn't bring myself to look. All the same arguments rehashed - and even if Nick weren't here to blame this on, there'd be the knee-jerk trashing of anything Ed does and any positive said about him.

(And LiveRocks being away has been better than a vacation).

From where I sat, I saw bullying and bitching and trashing Ed.

From where myself and many others sat, we saw certain people diminishing the contributions of 3 key band members. We also saw those same certain people bashing those 3 band members, all while ignoring the statements and actions of a 4th band member.

I have never dissed the contribution of any band member. I don't know of too many others who have dissed CC&P. Plenty who use the excuse of whatever Ed did/allegedly did to bash him, but not the same from the other side.

I think it's foolish for anyone to claim that any one band member, or combination of less than all four band members *was* Live. Live was/is something greater than the sum of its parts.
