Here's another:

Heard a bit of Peanut Butter Wolf’s set at Perry’s before seeing the end of Ed Kowalczyk’s at Kidzapalooza. Closing with “Lightning Crashes”, from his old band Live, seemed an odd choice, with the lyrics of “her placenta falls to the floor” and all. I had the chance to interview Kowalczyk later on in the day inside the media area and that feature will be up in the near future.

Guess those would be rough lyrics for the Kidz stage smile.gif

And another:

We caught the last song of American Bang’s set. They are also from Nashville, and they sound like an 80s hairband. I made my way over to the Kidzapalooza Stage to see Ed Kowalczyk from Live. While waiting for Ed, I watched the kids band Rocknoceros. They are not kids, but they play songs for kids. This is a great family stage where the little kids can enjoy Lollapalooza too. It’s a stage where independent artists play. Ed Kowalczyk used to be the lead singer for Live, but is now solo. Ed was great. He played just 3 songs – him and his guitar. He closed with ‘Lightening Crashes’!

Looks like the stage to be on omg.gif

Video of Heaven and Lightning Crashes. I am guessing the middle song was Grace.

Absolutely, Wam.

One of the awful dreams I used to be having is seeing Live on stage in Europe with around 10 people in attendance with me cheering and screaming: FUCK THEM ALL! THOSE WHO NEED YOU ARE HERE! COME OOOOOOOOOOON!

Later it also happened to Depeche Mode in my dreams. And once - to Ed around a year ago.

Imagine my fright when I saw those fair fest clips

I honestly don't know what is embarrassing about playing an short acoustic set mid-day in front of a few hundred fans at a major festival. The one thing Ed does is work his butt off. He plays anywhere in the world because he wants to get his music out there.

The most important thing you can take from the video, is that he sounded great, and put on a great acoustic show.

wow this is the first time you've said this I think .. I thought the most important thing was how many people were there and how many albums he sold at the gig and what his album was doing in Holland??

It's sad that he's even doing this, it's a god damn kids stage. Just think about that .. this man has sold out massive arenas, and whilst no one expects him to do that now, a KIDS stage at a festival.. it's kinda a massive downfall. It's like being sat at the kiddy table whilst the grown ups play on the main stages.

A kids stage needs adult entertainment too. Ever child in attendance had a one parent or guardian with them. That is why Lollapalooza books adult acts along with kiddie acts for the stage.

Ed got a lot of press for playing the show too. Which is only a good thing because he has his own headlining show to play in Chicago next month.

You are lying once again and you do not even have to be caught there. you want me to name the countries he did not and will not ever play in?

It is sad that he had a 3 song set and played not one but TWO Live songs.

Lots of confidence in using that new material to sell CDs eh?

lol you make it sound like he chose to be on that stage over one of the other bigger more popular stages. face it, he took what he could get which is the kids stage at a festival for 15mins, you can't tell me if he could have done *any* better than that at the festival he would have taken it. He played a set at a kid's stage, there is no way you can spin that.
