That's what you call quite a positive album review!

Questionable
Every once in a blue moon there comes a rock and roll band that breathes new life in a music scene that has all become all show and no substance. A band that wears theirs hearts on their sleeves and serves up rock and roll music the way it’s supposed to be served up. Straight from the heart with attitude, passion and energy that is guaranteed to, put it simply, rock your asses off! Ladies and gents let me introduce you to The Gracious Few.

The band is fueled and powered by guitarist Chad Taylor, bassist Patrick Dahlheimer and drummer Chad Gracey from the band Live, along with lead vocalist Kevin Martin and guitarist Sean Hennesy from the band Candlebox.

What these “Gracious Few” have created is an rock and roll album that is destined to be a classic. Good music is hard to come across and these gentlemen hit the nail on the head. With an influences that range from Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Black Sabbath and the Rolling Stones, it’s hard to go wrong. As is evident on tracks like, “Appetite” loaded with its Led Zep vibe that would make John Bonham proud. Then there is the lead off single, “Honest Man”, a song dedicated to all the hard working people of the world. While tracks like, “What’s Wrong” and “Crying Time”, show that even when the boys downshift they still can make the hair on your arms stand up. Honestly, there is something for everyone. Rock out with your parents, your younger siblings, and, hell, try it on your aunts, uncles, grandparents! This debut outing by The Gracious Few should be, wait, will be, owned by every rock fan in the world. Its great guitar riffs, amazing vocalist, and rock on attitude will inspire millions. Are you ready?!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I wonder if this album does get some serious momentum going if the band will actually sign with a label for another album? I am actually a bit surprised no one has stepped to sign them anyway with a the experience and name recognition they have already and a few good demos they have already been able to produce. The future is looking good for these guys I think! rockin.gif

If you're asking.......

Take a look at the this reviewers other reviews. Everyone one of them is over the top praise for whatever band or album he has listened to. It is almost comical.

What's funny about that? He only reviews albums or bands he likes, true I'd personally like to see a reviewers body of work feature postive and negative reviews to better gauge where they're at. But he obviously doesn't work that way. I assume that if this was a glowing review for Ed by a reviewer who only posts positive reviews then you'd have no problem with it at all smile.gif

I don't have a problem with the review, but to me it is fishy for a reviewer to post only overwhelmingly positive reviews. It makes him lose a bit of credibility IMO.

I do see what you mean, as a person who wrote reviews for a magazine before, I would take an album or artist as they came, positive or negative, I dealt with a fair share of people who would only write positive reviews or only write negative reviews.
I believed their reviews were genuine .. some of them just didn't feel comfortable writing one way or the other, or their review style just couldn't work that way .. so they only stuck to one type. Some were working on the pretense that they were only to review things they liked. Horses and courses and all that.
So I think you do get a better overall view of where someone is coming from when they write both positive or negative .. but it doesn't make what they do write disingenuine or anything.

Nick, has Ed put you up to the negative press tour? smile.gif This record will blow away Ed's solo release and be a big record for rock music fans.
