Did he thank Ed K. in helping TGF get signed to V2?

Really pathetic, Nick.

Alive's success played a bit part of it. TGF released the Honest Man single on Netherlands Itunes without V2, and that shows that V2 signing was unexpected and only was made possible by Ed's CD selling well.

V2 signed Ed K. first because they knew his album was going to do well. TGF is a much bigger gamble in the Netherlands.

sorry for the consecutive post - but where's your proof here?

How is it that you can assume (and no matter what you suggest, it will really always be your assumption by my estimates), that Ed is responsible for any TGF deal or future deal just because TGF signed an agreement with V2 AFTER Ed?

What utter drivel.

Get over yourself dude. Stop trying to compare Ed and TGF (or even Ed and LIVE), because it isn't even the same music anymore. We're here for the music and the banter, but this ugly competition you're once again starting to yield is trash and disrespectful to the posters on this board and the band we're all here for: and that is LIVE (in case you missed it).

Oh and, no matter how much you might want to believe it, LIVE was CT, CG, PD and EK. EK without the other 3 is and always will be just EK.

Edit: To comment on OTD's OP: I think it's awesome how CT and TGF in general are keeping us up to date as to how things are going with regard to the conclusion of deals and putting the album together. From the get-go of hearing the CT riffs all the way through the rough material like Ramius, to the workmix of Appetite and the Honest Man and Crying Time, it's almost as if we have been along for the ride with them.

It is a great story that I'm sure we will be discussing here in 10 years time.

You really don't understand the music business at all.

Let's get this train back on topic, I agree with this. In the past I was often very critical of Live for not always letting the fans in. However with this project they've really seemed excited to share as much as possible and as early as possible, not to mention the huge recording blog.

It has been really cool to see and I think a great reward for the long time fans on here who recall those earlier days.

Ever heard about Chuck Norris Facts ?

Maybe we could start Ed K. facts ?

Ed K is the reason why Waldo is hiding.
Some people wear Superman pajamas. Superman wears Ed K. pajamas.
Ed K. counted to infinity - twice.

I'm not surprised you feel this way. Your 'doom and gloom' attitude is just a spin-off from 'Alive'. Poor, pointless, pathetic and utter-fail.

Edit: by the by, you were warned previously about your posting on this thread. If you have nothing of value to add to a generally positive thread, please start a new one about how buying a CD after hearing a song on the radio will help save the world or something, twice. I didn't know we had to teach etiquette to former board mods/owners.

nick normally i try and stay in the middle. i think you cop a lot of shit and dont like some of the bullying that occurs at your expense. im an edward fan, i like alive enough to listen to it without the politics of this board influencing my opinion and im not ashamed to say i like his current direction in music, but give this shit the fuck up. that was a lame point to make. have a glass of wine. relax. otherwise, if you're getting enjoyment from the reactions you are illiciting, all power to you.

Time to take Nick under your wing, Wam. Get the boy wasted on wine and let him loose on the forums.
