V2 Benelux Gracious Few CD
V2 has published the European track list. Now I can't say if this is what we're getting in the US. I don't have a clue. 12 Tracks. So they appear to be holding back some of the other songs for the 'next one' Kewl. So TROY & All I Hear are not on there.

Don't know. I was doing some searches and this came up. Got to the TGF page then clicked a link for the record and the tracklist is there. Could be on it, who knows. KM's interview with Alt Addiction states they have 7-8 more songs ready for another record.

I have a hunch the EMI deal involved them to release more records in order to secure distribution.

I'd like know what track 'Revolt' is. I saw this at a certain radio stations' links a little while back. Me being a huge supporter, I'd certainly love to have more than one TGF releases.

The old rock bands did this a lot. Record a bunch of songs and have them ready to release within a year or 2. The Who did this, many others....Kiss, Led Zep. It's all music to my ears.

That list has "The Rest of You" and no track called "Revolt." Guess they changed it?

I would be pretty disappointed to not get "All I Hear" on this record, and I also think that tracklist puts way too many heavy hitters at the beginning with way too much slow towards the end.

I thought "All I Hear" was one of the catchier tunes as well, could've been great on radio.

He didn't say they had recorded 7 or 8 more songs, just that they had written them. At least that's how I understood it.

Thanks for pointing that out. There is something missing....my eye appointment was missed this year lol.gif

If they wrote them, i think that means they have them documented on tape, as demos. No?

TROY is there, we can see it. But are we sure All I Hear is not there? There is a hidden track which is not Sing, otherwise they would not name it hidden if they listed it there. Possibly the hidden track is All i Hear.

I was just reading up on V2 records, I had no idea it was an indie label.

hidden track might be all I hear shrug.gif
that would make sense as we got 13 tracks played at Fat Daddy's in May. 12 of them are on the album.

"Indie label"

I know word meanings change with time, but that is really just a huge oxymoron.

If you are signed to a label you are no longer independent.

What a fucked up business.

there's an awesome parody song by a guy here in Melbourne called The Bedroom Philosopher which has the great line "We're with independent records, they're like an off-shoot of sony"

here it is:

Nice little take on "indie"
