That is a matter of opinion. Ed's band have been able to cover the Live tunes way better than the Live guys covered Candlebox's Far Behind.

That too is a matter of opinion. It's also an opinion with which I vehemently disagree. Considering Live is still my favorite band and Far Behind is my favorite Candlebox song, I think I'm going to go with my opinion over yours. Multiple listens to the Fat Daddy's boot has only served to reinforce that opinion.

QUOTE(SJN1279 @ Aug 3 2010, 1:13 pm) *

Ed's band have about 3 jam sessions built into the set and I was surprised at how much they actually had to do on stage when I saw them last year. Ed actually interacts with each member of the band numerous times throughout the show.

Ed's need to check to make sure his backup band members are still conscious, given the lifelessness of their play, does not make his performance any more special.

I feel bad for Adam K. After watching the performance he put on at Zman's place, I think he's much too talented to have to deal with this trainwreck of a group. But then, I do commend him on his loyalty to his brother.

TGF changed Far Behind, and made the song much worse in my opinion. There is no need for new spins on Live classics, they songs are great as they are.

Your opinion on the subject is worthless considering you missed the fact that Ed HAS been doing new spins on Live classics. Or do you not consider changing the lyrics to be a new spin. Keep talking, tool.

How do you rationalize that Ed's changed all the lyrics??? Pot / Kettle theory again.

I should have realized I would not be the first to catch that. Bravo, OTD.

Good idea. I'll move all the topics relating to medication into the new thread you created.

Adam K. is much happier being part of this group than he was with Live. He has more freedom on stage, and he is a bigger focal point in the show.

He also seems very tight with the new guys off stage from what I've seen.

I think he's got the talent to do it on his own, I think that is what Itchy was saying.

He didn't perform on Alive did he?

He absolutely as the talent to do it on his own. He just never got the break. However it is my understanding that he is enjoying his role with the new band quite a bit.

No he didn't perform on the album.

If he didn't get the chance to contribute creatively then he isn't really a bigger part of the band, just the stage show. Hopefully that will change with the next album.

Honestly, Adam K. has gotten far more breaks than a lot of artists making a career out of it. If he wanted to make a career on his own I think he could with the right management team.

To be honest, I don't get what the big deal over Adam K is ... he seems like a wonderful guy. i met him twice and both times he was the complete opposite of Ed, really friendly, engaging and seemed genuinely happy to meet fans, not act like it's a chore.
However, I just find his music boring, it's uninteresting singer/songwriter without any kind of uniqueness to it. He has a good voice, his can play guitar ok, but it's all just .. average. His lyrics are just eh.. I think some people seem to get confused with attributing how talented he is with how much of a great guy he seems to be.
He seems to do the same as the rest of Ed's band, just stand in the back motionless behind Ed who walks around with his knees constantly bent.

100% disagreement, hi tunes are very light and heavily depressful texts go together with the music perfectly. I love both of his albums
