QUOTE(SJN1279 @ Aug 3 2010, 8:14 am) *

I am sure that most people won't know who Ed Kowalczyk is by name alone. Even in Lancaster, it makes sense to tell people what band Ed Kowalczyk fronted.

I have a feeling you couldn't be more wrong about that. If you are talking about the 18-25 crowd then yes, hell 90% of that demo wouldn't even know Live even here in Lancaster. But for the 25-40 crowd you are wrong. At least people I'm around, all know him, even if they don't listen to him. Not to mention the Kowalczyk name itself in Lancaster, with the fans of Adam.

No someone else did.

It is either Chameleon or TLA. TLA is being sponsored by WMMR and has Thriving Ivory attached. I think it should be pretty full by showtime(it holds a little under 1000).

TLA ain't no venue! TLA is a human beinG!!!

I never once brought up Chameleon, you pulled it out of thin air.

Isn't that where Ed gets his lyrics?

Movie awards and nominations aren't based on the movies, they're based on politics. Look at the Oscar movie of the year award list. Many movies nominated are off the wall stuff that nobody ever heard of and most of the winners suck ass.

Don't base the quality of movies, or music, on awards please.

I thought it sucked. The effects were neat but the story was uninspired.

Let's not get into award shows and how they work.

A St. Louis, Missouri website gives Ed a plug while annoucing that The Old Rock House will become a non-smoking venue.............

I guess a little extra publicity is a good thing. A writer for the St. Louis entertainment website, stltoday.com, mentioned Ed's upcoming show on September 25th while announcing that the venue was going to become non-smoking on September 1st.

Brief article on the non-smoking issue with a nice file photo of Ed.

Interesting. I like the idea. I dont ever want to see my government tell businesses that they cant allow smoking, but when a business chooses that route on their own, I applaud the effort!
