So ed writes all the songs for LIVE the past 10 years and really the whole career for the most part right? Then, Chad says the band wrote many many songs with no lyrics and only a handfull made it onto an album or were released such as Lakinis Juice, Where Fishes Go, Vine Street, etc.... I know Ed said he sits and writes all the songs on his acoustic guitar at home and then presents it to the band right? So.... my question is this maybe the root of the eventual breakup? Maybe I am behind on all this but it would seem that when it was time to make an album it would go sort of like this.... Ed: here's the songs I wrote for the new album. Band: Here's some music we wrote as well. Ed: We will just do my stuff, I cant sing to the tunes you guys write.

Would this be what you guys think may have happened over the years?

You know, I think every review from now on should highlight how HORRIBLE the opening verse of In Your Light is. Just fucking pukeworthy lyrics, far too upfront and cheesy. Some of the worst Ed has ever written. EASILY.

Yes In Your Light and Just In Time are two of the worst songs Ed has ever made!

that article is spot on for the most part, except that it is taking liberties with how Ed spoke about inspiration and being experimental. Which makes his assessment of Ed being fake suspect.

yea only a little smoke and mirrors. but isn't Ed in the middle of a successful tour? how major league are you talking about, doesn't seem like his current gig is up.

I wanted to hit play and hear Ed singing like I know he can.

His voice is hanging on a thread compared to what it used to be. I think the last decent Live-esque thing we had was All in your Mind. His voice wasn't rocking but at least its like he can still write that sort of thing. Maybe one day he'll write a good song but the screaming voice has been done for 10 years I'd say.

I agree. I think he sounds pretty good on his new record.

His voice is fine. There are some crazy falsetto moments but his voice sounded ok to me. It's all the other things i find in the lyrics disturbing...........which is disturbing to me (as my opinion).
