You are the person who created the thread. When I tried to speak to you on PM regarding it, you basically ignored me(after an inital response). If you have a problem with a person, it is always more mature to try and work it out one on one. You decided to take the route of making a public issue out of a personal matter.

To me that is the very definition of obnoxious.

The fact that he had been Ed's Facebook voice, and by that I mean posting actual status updates for Ed, adds fuel to that fire. It makes the motives behind each of his posts more prone to being suspect. Thus, the mis-steps become greatly magnified. Is he just stating his own opinion? Or is he acting as Ed's chosen, if unacknowledged, attack dog, saying all the things that Ed doesn't want to be heard saying himself.

I think for the most part, when Nick is on Facebook he is delivering official news. It just seems really unlikely that Nick is used by Ed's management to try to spout Ed's opinions on this message board of a few dozen regular people.

The point is that its only a handful of you crazies. Not a mass amount, so the idea of Nicks contribution affecting Ed by just an ungracious few is kinda of hard to agree with.

"importance" is not only measured in volumes, but also in things like "key opinion leaders" - to think that the folks that post here arent important to either Ed's or TGF's future success is delusion at its best.. Diffusion theory posits that the rate of adoption of an "innovation" (i.e., something new) is DEPENDENT on its innovators and early adopters. without them, there is no adoption. and who are the best "early adopters" ? folks like us.. you are doing it yourself.. you said you brought 20 folks to Ed's concert and they bought the CD - would they have done it without you? unlikely that all would have..

What Nick said there sounds much more significant than the key opinion leaders idea. Not saying your theory is not without merit, but then you would have to try to determine how much of an effect Nick had on these people. But then the main point I'm trying to make is, why are you letting his opinion effect you that much, and why should that happen to anyone?

To put the importance of FansofLive.com into perspective, I just checked the US web ratings of the following websites:

EdKowalczyk.com is rated in the 200,000's among websites in the US.

TheGraciosfew.com is rated in the 500,000's in the US.

FansofLive.com is rated roughly 4,000,000th in the US. (As I said earlier, maybe 20 people visit this site on a regular basis).

Internet web stats have absolutely zilch to do with the importance of a web site. Importance or, to more appropriately put it, value is strictly in the eyes of the beholder.

Fans Of Live could be the lowest ranked site by any statistical analysis you could give. As long as it has value to those who are here, those rankings aren't worth the energy it takes one to type them.

This is true that we all have an extraordinary interest in this band, but I think its still best not to get to the point of emotionality where you have blind devotion or end up making your own conclusions and being so spiteful over things unknown. Or get to the point that one persons opinion is going to reek havoc on your own opinion of the band.

I held this opinion way before I became Ed's Facebook admin. I barely speak to Ed, and he has never told me what to think.

That may be the case, but you've been doing stuff for Ed's FB page for about as long as I've been here. Maybe that influences me further than it might influence others, but it's hard to see you as something more than Ed's personal spin-doctor because of it.
