#44 debut here.

That truly is a spectacular fall from ...grace

That is not many copies at all,a few thousand.Considering the single is far and away the best song on the album, and its failed to grab the consumers attention, this album is headed for the scrapheap in a just a few weeks time.

#14 on the Digital Downloaded charts. Which I felt was pretty good considering that Live at the Paradiso did not debut much higher on that chart.

Outside of getting airplay for "Grace" the last two weeks, Sony didn't do much promotion outside of Itunes for this album. When I checked Sanity earlier this week, you couldn't find Ed's album without a search. With Grace just beginning to gain airplay on Australian radio, I'm guessing Ed's spring tour in Australia will be a success.

Coming from someone who lives here, and has always taken massive interest in Live's success on the charts, there are zero positives coming from this albums sales.

#44 as a debut is terrible, absolutly terrible. 'TripleM beer songs' would debut higher than that. It seems Grace got pushed three-four weeks ago and got good airtime, but doesn't seem to be gathering any momentum. It was the albums only chance, and unless it breaks into all the pop stations soon, the album is done and dusted.

Ed/Live are irrelevant here now, almost gone down the path of the US in recent years. Rock acts find it very hard to do well these days, unless you are one of the very big one's,or have a massive album like Kings of Leon or someone.

The push for "Grace" began only 2 weeks ago. Sony did not put much behind promotion, and I doubt the album will be a huge seller down under. However, the #14 debut on the digital chart(highest debut of the week) is pretty impressive, and Grace has begun to get good airplay in most areas of Australia. The tour is positioned to do well, and should be announced very shortly.

Ed Kowalczyk will always be the lead singer of Live, and that is where his notoriety will lie. The solo career is just an extension of that.

He was the lead singer of Live. He isn't the lead singer of Live any longer.

It's the little things that are sometimes the most important.

Its a mom & pop which has been around most of my life. They have several stores.

I purchased Secret Sahmadi & TDTH at midnite at their main store.

If you had bought 10 CD's directly from the band instead of Amazon, you would have given them nearly 100 dollars in profit instead of roughly 10 dollars(according to your estimates).

Thanks for showing your ignorance of how Amazon pays out to artists.

It would probably be good for you to stop talking about things that you don't know anything about. Stick to sharing the chart data and be done with it.

To us as fans. But to the rest of the world, particularly the media outlets and stuff, it's always the lowest common denominator references. Ray Manzarek, for example, will never be anything other than "Ray Manzarek, keyboardist for The Doors", despite the decades since the band existed. It's only when your new project equals or outpaces the original that they stop doing that.

Could of swore I heard it get airplay 4 weeks ago when I was listening to the radio over here. But if head of the Ed's spin department says two weeks then perhaps I was mistaken for some other song...

As for the tour...define well? I define well to be Rod Laver Arena,or at least a 5000+ venue, that's where a man of his talent should be playing, and there where he once sold out many times in under an hour. I expect too see him play a small theatre that holds 1000 people....sad,but how the mighty have fallen

Sure. Amazon splits around 50/50 with the artist, and with a multi-item order there will be free shipping. Amazon is going to eat that cost, so in the end buying ten CDs at 14 dollars is going to net the band around $70.

Buying through the band website will get them more for sure, but it won't be sold with free shipping and it is likely that they will be paying others to package and ship them. It depends on how those deals are worked out, but the ultimate point is that you were trying to make it sound far more drastic than it is.

You only get free shipping with Amazon during certain points of the year, and you usually have to buy at least 25 dollars worth of items. So buying The Gracious Few's CD solo, should not get you free shipping.

The official adding of Grace occurred two weeks ago on numerous stations. Before that it got sporadic airplay on certain stations.

Did you really expect Ed to sell out mid-sized arenas in Australia without being part of Live? Ed and the rest of the guys are going to take a hit now that they separated. My guess is that he plays a theater/club tour in Australia, and as a fan that is a way better place to catch a show.

The hiatus is a positive because the guys are doing something different and having fun. When Live gets back together, their batteries will be recharged and people will be excited for a reunion. This break probably should have happened post V. That is what Bush and STP did after their releases in the 2000's underperformed, and now they are both running reunion tours that have fans excited.
