It is probably a big reason that Ed stays his concerts and signs each album that is purchased(and anything else you like).

It's most likely the only reason, can't see him doing it for the love of fans. He was quick as fuck in and out of those rooms when Live was doing meet and greets and there was nothing to sell.

Alive was #14 on the Digital album chart. It was the highest new debut on the chart, and the third highest debut on the album chart.

So you're comparing a state in the US with a population of under 800,000 people to a country in Europe with a population of over 16 million?

Very few artists today make any money from album sales. It is all about the tour.

True for major label artists but not for indie artists (and has been for a long time).

Every album is a "touring tool," I'm not really sure why you bring that up all the time.

Indie artists typically sell their albums at shows and their website(where they don't have to share profits with a distributor). Charting isn't usually an option or goal for most.

Are you really trying to tell ME how being an indie artist works?

Do you even read my posts?

Yes he is selling to retail(Amazon, FYE, etc) with the help of Red distribution. At his shows and through his website, he is selling without Red.

I'm sorry, I forgot that the Gracious Few's CD is going make double platinum in the US, and Crying Time is going to be a top-40, Grammy award winning song(according to certain fans on Facebook and FansofLive).

I never said it would. However, I won't pull arbitrary chart numbers out of my ass all in an attempt to give the album some credentials.

Every week since the album came out, you find a more and more obscure chart to post about, and it just becomes more absurd next week.

The digital Aria chart in Australia is not obscure. Neither is the Australian Itunes' Rock chart.

If the Gracious Few reached #1 on an Itunes chart(any format or country), I'm pretty sure it would be mentioned by the band.
