I have to say out of the 3 tracks Appetite was my favorite. That song is really good.

I feel like they're going downhill by releasing these. Each one is worse than the song before it. They should just keep it all under wraps and put out the whole as an album when it's ready.

At this rate we'll have half of the album before it even comes out.

While I can see how Crying Time might not be everyone's cup of tea, I could not disagree more with you on each song being worse than the one before it. Maybe in your opinion, but that's about as far as it goes.

I go back and forth on a daily basis which song I like more, Honest Man or Tredecim. Each time I hear the songs, I pick up something different in them. Something I hadn't noticed before.

And all of the songs still take a very, very slight backseat for me to Appetite. From the moment I first heard "Kill it quicker, stick it deeper", the song has been stuck in my head. I've listened to the various acoustic recordings plus the raw studio recording (eternally grateful to Aitkens for pointing out the existence of that one) over and over. I just never get tired of it.

And you know something, having all four of these songs, plus the live recordings, hasn't done anything to quench the fire I have for buying the album the second it's available. It has done precisely the opposite. I am more stoked to buy the album than I was even after attending the two live shows. And that's saying a hell of a lot.

Well this shows just how much passion and excitement they have for their own music, as they can't wait to release songs to us. Which is a good thing I guess.

Nice track - sounds like a good breakup song. Between this and Appetite this album might have a shot yeah??

It is actually about suicide. Everyone has their own interpretation but making it a break up song is just a little trite. smile.gif

Might have a shot? Come on now. I've heard what probably amounts to all of the tracks, in concert at least, and I can tell you that it delivers. As for the "Crying Time" being a breakup song, that totally diminishes the song and its meaning. We're talking about grown men, not teeny pop stuff here. As thefunkyredcaboose stated, its a song about a good friend of the band that committed suicide. I look at the tracks on this album and each one is full of meaning and personal triumph and failure, tributes to lost loved ones. Hell Honest Man has become a tribute to Gracey's father. Its refreshing to hear music that has real deep meaning and isn't just superficial.

Well that's why everyone has opinions. Appetite is my least favourite, then Honest Man, with Crying Time and Tredecim being my favourite. Different strokes for different folks.
But I will agree that they shouldn't release anymore before the Cd comes out. Ya, I can't wait and want it all now but don't wanna spoil myself too much. And I've already heard the whole concert and all those songs so it's kinda already spoiled.

That is good news coming from someone whos heard all the tracks live. I heard the concert recording once, so nothing really grew on me that much. But Appetite and this song I do like, so we'll see. Yeah its not a breakup song after reading the lyrics

I love Crying Time. I just think the bridge would be a great place for some rolling muted Chad Taylor vocals, a la Pillar of Davidson. The cadence could match the bassline and would work really well. I love that section of PoD.

I agree with ^^^

All 4 songs released so far are amazing in their own way. They sound different and that is something we all wanted from Live but haven't seen. The second half of Ed's album suffers from this but all these songs sound different. No one, not even nick, can make the suggestion that these TGF songs sound similar.

I really can't wait for September yay.gif

He has already made that suggestion, which is hilarious.
