I have no idea why Ed wouldn't want the fans to hear this stuff, but it does seem pretty obvious now that he must have been the dissenting voice that stopped the release of the material...

...or Chad is smarter than we think and HE was the dissenting voice and now he's totally screwing Ed with the fans by making it look like it was Ed's fault!

Wasn't quite obvious Swami was joking, as the rumoured Live Collected release was 3 cd's, not an half one ?

However, I dont think Chad's post on Facebook had anything to do with Live collected, but just something they planned recently (daimn, maybe even a reaction on the FansOL letter thread).

I think I read once Ed "didn't want to live in the past", and for that not wanting to release older stuff. Also, I think there's a fair chance he THINKS every new song he writes is better then every older song he wrote. At least, that seems to be supported by how excited he seems when talking about recent stuff.

On the other side, we have Chad. Who wants to bring us something we missed. Chad doesnt want to live in the past either. But he just want us to hear some (possibly great) tunes that were created when he (and the other guys) still had influence in the songwriting process. I think that explains everything quite good.

I can't stop thinking about a tour blog of Chad T (somehwere 2006) when he (being obviously drunk) wrote that they were about to play New City, Don't Wait and Change the next night! Ha.

well a online cd shop had details (not the songs) and a cover up on their site for some time, so it's not something totally made up . Also, it was confirmed to me Universal wanted it out, but there were some problems and delay.
