Is Chad Gracey the one that said this about Ed and his new lounge act? I missed that. Did he really make the comment about his wittle ears?

I believe Chad Gracey tweeted this message after a recording of Everlasting Love from Amsterdam surfaced

So Ed wants to hide behind the cloth. Enjoy his eating your bread.

I'm not at all shocked. I've maintained from the time I heard the album from the link Nick provided that I could not understand how any reviewer thought Ed was being subtle.

And if that's what he wants to do, fine, good luck to him. But if he thought he was fooling anyone who was actually paying attention to the lyrics, well, then he was truly the fool.

Yeah that's not bad, and I don't think you can say Ed's "hiding behind" anything for saying his album is #4 on Heatseekers instead of 166 on the Billboard 200. That's just common sense to do that. I think any band would.

Agreed. Don't we *all* choose to make ourselves look better by presenting the most positive view?

Will be interesting to see if it goes up or down from here after the first intitial reviews start to come in about the album. I have still yet to hear Grace on the radio. Local or satellite.

The most positive thing is that most of Ed's album sales came from his website and at shows(both were not reported to soundscan and not reflected on the charts).

Also:

In its third week:

27 in Holland
82 in Belgium

Is this a disappointment for Ed, considering his popularity over there? I was expecting better.

I don't think so. It opened at #4, dropped to 28 and now rose to 27.

The high debut was an unexpected surprise and the fact that the album has held in the top 30 for 3 weeks is pretty strong for a new artist.
