QUOTE(SJN1279 @ Jul 12 2010, 1:53 pm) *

If the lawsuit isn't settled, the whole blog is a farce. Either his lawyer told him to post it, or it is a gesture to try to fix the rift he created within the fanbase before TGF's album hits shelves in September.

My hope is that the bullcrap between the guys is settled, and everyone can move on.

You're pathetic the way you look at things and see the world. The riff he created... God Ed created a riff even before the split by going off the rails and turning to utter shit.. He lost the fans and split the fanbase long before CT said anything. You can't deny there were people pissed at where Ed was taking things a long time before the split, regardless of whether you think he turned to shit or not it's undeniable that the arguing started with him.  I don't remember big uproars about how PD lost the plot or CG was an ass to fans.

I don't think CT has anything to apologize for, he's a classy man though, Ed can't even mention the other guys. CTs blog about the split was needed at the time to settle things and stop rumours and shit getting out of control. Your perception that it's to garner more fan support for the album is just pathetic. You're constantly calls out here by everyone for being obsessed with sales and marketing. Not everyone else is, it's a really sad way you view the world.

He Created......are you retarded.

And i believe the fanbase will support them both, or either one that they like.

TGF's album wont have to many problems selling (In my humble opinion).

from day one I have refused to take sides or take cheap shots @ Ed or any other band member...this is my favorite band PERIOD!...their music has impacted my life for the last 15 years and I truly appreciate them... I took steps to learn how to play guitar and start singing about 15 years ago,...playing in my 1st real band at 50 years old(2007)..learning how to play about 24 or more Live songs...having the opportunity to meet the band numerous times and become friends with Adam and an opportunity to open for Adam twice last year....I only wish the best for all the members of LIVE..if you people truly loved LIVE...shut the fuk up..back the fuk off and help them all succeed...

Clearly, he would never say something because he wants to, or because it is the right thing to do, right?

Looks like you are having problems "moving on" too.

I wouldn't feel bad Chad for saying this. He seems so genuine and some people will get away with whatever they can and not give two shits about it.... I had a roommate who routinely smoked tons of pot, didn't pay bills on time, (we work at the same job(serving) and she'd owe me $400 and ask to go home when we were both offered the option....) I never charged her bf rent or utilites, I bought her kitty litter the whole time, gave her some fish tank stuff and she kept the place filthy.. I stopped the potsmoking thing because if you are like her and all of your student loans are in default, you don't pay any of your credit card bills or car registration or insurance, maybe you shouldn't be doing drugs.. In the end I moved out two months early, had $1200 in the deposit and because I wasn't there to babysit she and her boyfriend played demolition derby in the house and broke 3 windows, put holes in the wall and doors, and did about $1000 damage. She did pay most of it back over the next year, but I still had to work with her and I went freaking CRAZY at work and was so mad and people thought I was the one being unclassy... I fully admit that I am the STUPID one in the end. But now people at work are starting to understand, she won't fix her car (two years ago in the house she knew her car needed two grand of work) and refuses to ride the bus system so people at work continuously give her rides and she is so ungrateful.. and now she just got evicted and is pregnant and I kid you not even said "I might be better off!!" upon knowing what aids are there for single parents in her status..... She used unemployment for a year before taking the job serving I offered to her 2 months into her unempoloyment.... Sometimes people don't deserve a gracious silence so people don't have to know what a fucking piece of shit user, liar, and disgrace to society they are.. they may think you are crazy for rattling off at the mouth, and not really care because they weren't there but it doesn't matter... especially if you are super trusting like it sounds like chad is, you get even more angry at your inability to perceive others doing what they've done and you just get so mad.... I support Chad completely

We’ve all had a chance to vent our frustrations, anger and anxiety but now its time to heal through forgiveness. I assure you that I personally want the best for all of my band mates, their families and their creative efforts. I want the best for the entire global Live family.

If the lawsuit is still ongoing, the above paragraph is total nonsense. Anything Chad Taylor says should be taken with a grain of salt anyway.

I disagree what's due is due if Ed screwed them over which I'm pretty sure he probably did then he needs to pay or do whatever is due.... Forgiveness is not being a pushover... I still hope Live will get back together one day in part of my mind but understand if they ever do not.. I personally think Ed is all show for whoever is watching acting like he is gracious and affable but he's a different story in who he really is.. It's a shame though because the Gracious Few just isn't the same to me but I'm so disgusted by Ed (and have been for a few years now like some of you and have posted on here about it but no one cares, including myself) I refuse to listen to his music.. I do miss the live shows though they were so fun to look forward to sad.gif

I don’t buy it. And by that I mean, that all is good. Let me preface all of this by saying that I *adore* chad. I think the betrayal by Ed hurt him deeply and what he is sorry for is going overboard publicly. Actually, I don’t think that he owes Live fans an apology at all. On the contrary, while perhaps ill-conceived and over the top, the public venting answered questions many of us fans have had. And for that, i thank him.

So when I see chad state “I made a huge mistake venting in a public forum and I deeply regret it. “

What do I think it means? Either…

1. I hurt myself by damaging my professional persona (remember, he is still a businessman, with his hands in numerous projects- there may be real or perceived professional blowback)
2. I didn’t like my own behavior- i myself am a bit of a hothead, and have on a few occasion was not happy w/the way i behaved..
3. The venting is compromising the lawsuit
4. The public apology for the venting is part of a settlement
5. Any or all of the above.

What do I think it DOESN’T mean…

Being OK with what Ed “supposedly” (two sides two sides uhoh.gif) did and forgiving him

It is possible to forgive someone and still want to get back the money that they took from you.

I totally agree Zman....as a longtime fan I also have refused to take pot shots at individual members of LIVE over the hiatus/break/breakup. The only remote thing I may have been critical of was EK's dancing and gyrating on stage (I think I'm safe there smile.gif ). I love this band and have spent the better part of my Summer's/Fall's since 1994 following the guys around at ever concert I could possibly attend. I've long ago discussed my passion for their music, but I have the utmost respect for all the members of this amazing group. I know that people have chosen their prospective sides in this debate, but I choose to enjoy TGF, and EK from time to time, but unlike LIVE neither of the two will probably given as much passion as did to LIVE. I truly believe CT to be a class individual and it took him some time to really think this over and make a statement like he has. Those of you who continue to nitpick and try to dissect every word that is said by the individuals who comprised our favorite band really have too much time on your hand. Please whether you be moderator or poster, really think before you post, as I stated both mods and posters are guilty of pointing fingers too much. I do believe that LIVE will get back together sometime in the future, but in the meantime lets just enjoy what we have with the collective effort of CT,PD and CG, as well as EK solo project.
