I can't wait to see Ed and TGF (obviously separate shows lol.gif ) in more intimate settings in the fall.

A co-headlining tour could get ugly.

The guys of Live are all happier now. Time for all of us to move on and cut the feud. While a reunion may happen, it is a while off. We should enjoy that there is new music coming out that most of us can enjoy on some level.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the show - what U2 song did Adam play???

There's a good mix of new songs in the setlist...you are right about the boys; if they are all happy and enjoying their music it's so much better than 50 half-hearted LIVE shows per year.

Did you not expect Ed to remember you now? He should do if he's serious.

QUOTE(SJN1279 @ Jul 10 2010, 2:11 pm) *

The setlist was good last year, but I felt the entire band was just going through the motions in 2009.

I met Ed in both NY and NJ this week, and both instances he was appreciative and just downright nice to his fans. He actually remembered me tonight and was took pictures with all of the members in my party. The turn-around in Ed's personality since 2004 and just been outstanding.

I would say the crowd was a little more than half, and it was the first time I was comfortable in Starland Ballroom. The fall tour will occur in under thousand person venues and should be intense!

Of course he remembered you, you're his online puppet and mouthpiece, if he didn't remember you there would be serious problems.

Ed is all smiles and no substance, like when he was doing the signings here in Melbourne last year, big smile on his face but the vibe from the guy was just he wanted to be anywhere but there. I got no doubt he was the same where you saw him but blind fanboyisim doesn't allow you to see that. And also when I saw him was before the whole court case thing came out so I had no preconcieved notions of how big a dick he was. He just has a bad vibe to him, I even felt it the first couple of times I met him years ago ... hard to believe he and Adam are related.
When you try to talk to Ed about anything that isn't a one off comment that doesn't require him going "thanks man" he seems to get shitty.

First, I'll be nice to Nick for once. I'm glad you enjoyed the show. I can honestly see 100% that you're happy as a clam. Everything most of us hate about Ed is what you love, so I am actually glad you can have what you want with Ed and the rest of us can have what we want from TGF.

Second, I can't be all sunshine and must say OF COURSE Ed is nice to his fans NOW. He hardly has any left. He didn't give a crap about any of us when he had tons of them who once worshiped him.

Ed was always nice to his fans. And i agree nick, he is much happier these days and you don't have to be a psychiatrist to figure that out.

I love how Adam K. has a larger performance role with the new band. He seems happier and more active on stage than he ever did with Live. It is nice to see him get a larger spotlight for his talents.

lol yeah dude there are a lot of people who have had really bad experiences with Ed. Sure no one expects them to be nice all the time I mean if I approached Ed and saw him at a coffee shop and said hello I'd not be too surprised or upset if he blew me off, that's his time. When meet and greets are organised there is no excuse for being a dick which he was, never had a bad experience with any of the others, even Adam, he was an awesome guy when I met him. All 4 times I met Ed he came off as an arrogant cock.
I expect that Ed is like the Soup Nazi, you have to say the right thing to him for him to be ok and then you move along, if you stray from the script and try to make a comment or ask a question or anything that requires more than a couple of word answer from him and you get the cold shoulder.

Agreed. Adam and James seem to have a good chemistry together.
