What the heck is this....
When did anybody here say that they're making something up? Not making what up?

we are taking about the summons here, in the ct 10 q thread we are talking about whether chad's talk about ed's wrong doings was a hoax or has merit. IF you can't tell the difference and remember that week long debate I feel sorry for you. Are you Ed's attorney? seriously, you twist and surmise and reframe everything technically....STFU

When I wrote what you're crying about above (making up the allegations) I was talking directly about the debate from late last year with you saying it was a pub stunt. Come On Man.

Your original comment does not indicate that you were referring to something that I said months ago, and it seems like a lie because you acknowledged one post later that I don't persist with the hoax argument since then.

But if you are telling the truth that you always meant that you were talking about my hoax argument, and really have suddenly mistaken your own lapse in logic, then you simply misinterpreted or were not keeping in line with what Liverocks and I were talking about. As I said, I already put the hoax argument on hold, so this comment in your new sense would now still really serve nothing. Also, I'm not re-framing anything, go ahead and clearly explain exactly how I even might be.

I mis interpreted nothing, keep spinning it. You just like to go in circles and argue. If youre an attorney, seriously, pull your lower lip over your head and swallow yourself.

Thats fine, thats why I also included that it could mean you weren't keeping in line with how Liverocks and I were talking about making stuff up. If you really interpreted it correctly, why make some connection that wasn't part of the argument.

Not an attorney. I don't appreciate you being a jerk.

Hmm...yeah I'm not too sure, singers are the most recognized usually. But its the Candlebox singer, I don't know if he would be more recognized than CCP, since his voice isn't really distinguishable from many other voices, Live are more famous than Candlebox, and one of the main connections is the Live breakup controversy.

The issue isn't so much whether the singer would still be recognized. I'd recognize Rob Thomas' voice just about anywhere. Like Ed, his is pretty damn distinctive. However, his first solo album suffered from much of what I see Alive suffering from, that is, any specialness to the music that surrounds the vocals. Everything became secondary to the vocals and as a whole the album suffered.

That's not to say Ed's doomed to that existence. Rob Thomas' second solo album is leaps and bounds above his first because the music that complimented his voice was better. If Ed truly loves his new band as much as he says, he'll write songs that bring out their talents instead of just subtle nods that they actually exist.

Well, we were talking about whether TGF would be associated more with Live or Candlebox. And I wasn't too clear, but I was agreeing that Live could potenitally be more associated w. TGF than Candlebox, even though it is Candlebox's singer, and how singer recognition is often a defining factor. Solo stuff doesn't really hark out to two different bands if theres no other recognizable band playing with the solo artist. And if you recognize the solo artists voice from anywhere, I'm not too sure how that plays a roll in whether TGF would be more Live or CB. I'm not sure what ya mean I guess.

Please, fuck right off with calling me an Ed-hater. Ed has always been my fave musician until he released a solo record.

But I do let my opinion out and curse occasionally, I think the last post I had was in that thread where Ed's street team received a letter ordering them to stuff good reviews down itunes to make up for the naturally occurring bad ones....and I think I said that was fucked

That is fucked up

When the album drops, Dad, hopefully we'll get a whole wave of people!

What will be interesting will be to see if people join who didn't know much of or wern't that into either Live of Candlebox, I think it would be fascinating to have some people around who's first exposure to Chad,Chad,Pat,Kevin and Sean is through TGF.

I am hoping TGF garners a whole new group of fans, this is why they are doing what they are doing. Making music they way they want. I know rock fans will look at the work and say, hey I haven't heard anything like that in a long time. The people I have let hear the limited TGF stuff to date have said, that is good stuff, who are they? We need to promote.

600 posts in the span of 10 days is nothing to sneeze at considering we're in the early stages. Add in the fact that two of the four open public shows were done a while before the site opened and I think the reaction has been very good.
