Who really cares? They are doing what they love, and we get to enjoy it. Win-win.

That's my point. Who cares, let's enjoy what we enjoy, and leave the rest of it behind!

Ed, I couldn't care less about TGF. We are talking about Ed here. He isn't good anymore.

Like it or not, there are a lot or people out there who disagree with your opinion (and that's what it is). Nick's post was about measurable numbers. Good or not-good had nothing to do with it.

Thing is man, the numbers arent' good. He lasted a week at #4 and is almost about to fall off the chart in the territory he is most popular i n. The numbers are proving our point I think.

Yes, far behind... where I truly wish CC&P had left KM. I want to like TGF, I really do, and I'm trying my hardest, but damn he is tough for me to listen to.

Oh and FYI, Alive is going to be a complete flop in the U.S. The only place where it'll get consistent spins is at Ned's house. See the poll thread about who actually likes the album.

Oh I wouldnt argue that the numbers arent fantastic. It doesnt make me enjoy it any less though. Nor would #1 status make me like it more.

Aside from Ed since we know that thief will never be allowed to be on the same stage as C,C and P.

Yes you are entitled to loving it. Some do, most hate it.

But I think even with Ed's "new music", it still fails because people think he's an over-the-hill, has-been rocker.

Agreed, Alive will probably not do well in the US.

Live has been a complete flop in the US since what, SS days?? And even then they were just riding on TC's coat-tails. I wouldnt expect Ed to do any better on his own. Any casual fan out there is going to recognize his voice and immediately make the connection to Live.

I sure am glad he's still doing it though, as I know I enjoy it.

edit..

Not sure, hadnt thought about that. Will have to ponder that one.

I just know I have never really liked Candebox because of KM's voice. My loss I guess, but it is what it is. I'll buy the songs, attend the shows and see what happens!

More speculation. I still think we'll see them back together one day down the road.

I dont think there is a person who has ever followed Ed or Live that would have expected this to ever be at #1.

Me.
Till I heard it in its entirety.

Funny enough, not that many people arefans of Live in Russia, but I was surprised to have found out that zounds of post grunge fans do, and they adore TC, SS and TDTH. It happened recently to my surprise. And you know what? For sure the solo record was quite a thing for a discussion in some communities and... the results are ABSOLUTELY the same s here: couple people love the album, some do not give a fuck and spin old stuff, but mostly people HATE this record. Too bad, but fact's a fact

I tried to spin Candlebox for a good of several years. Inever liked a single tune because Kevin;s voice is so specific.

But I love the way he handles it for TGF and I ADORE what they do. Funny!
